The rumour you have heard is more or less accurate.
Due to the acts of a traitor way back in our clan history it was decided for security reasons to restrict [KoF] membership to those pilots who would never turn to "The Dark Side" by joining a Pirate clan at the same time.
[KoF]-Members can have an independant pirate (no clan affiliation if they want to try out life as a pirate) with no [KoF] tags used.
If they decided they wanted to join RoS *for example we would request that they resign from the [KoF] first.

I hope that answers your query

Apologies for my late response.

That does answer my query.

Could you please make the information available on your faction document. I could only find it on your website after a bit of searching.

Thank you.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

I posted something similar to this in the DW feedback, and n00bl3t kindly informed me that you operate a similar policy.

I am concerned by the policy of KoF not allowing their member's to join other player factions. I find this to bring about an isolationist mentallity in people.

This server and community is about sharing our gameplay with other people, if you don't allow multi-factioning, then this is kinda restricting this a little. My experience with factions who operate a system like this, is that they are not as integrated with the community on the whole and communication with members is somewhat more difficult.

Much like the post in the DW thread, this is not a flame, just a slight concern. If it could be answered I would be really pleased.

I think I've said this before...

You are a faction which uses IDs which do NOT allow military action.

Quit acting like a military, please.

If your main motto is all about the profit and guarding traders for it, why do you waste resources for battles which you don't have any reason and profit to be in?

Clearing the systems of pirates is not a waste of resources in my opinion.
We are lawful friendly and will assist our allies whenever we can, be they Liberty Navy, Bounty Hunters, Bretonia police, Rheinland Military Kusari Navy etc.
We co-operate with and assist Lawful organisations against pirates when we have ships available.

Why attack SCRA? SCRA aren't pirates.

You don't have the right, you're civilians.

You also seem to have your allies wrong. Universal's allies are LPI and LN, I believe.

Attacking pirates could in fact have the opposite of the intended effect, though I doubt you thought about this. If your group irritates let's say the Lane Hackers with constant attacks and interruption of their "work" when they're otherwise not bothering you, that may well provoke them into harassing KoF transports.

This is particularly, to put it bluntly, stupid when dealing with the SCRA, because they ignore traders normally IIRC.

Let's see... ah, name issues, that's what brought me here. Ignoring the rather inaccurate name for a trading company, as I'm sure that's never changing, I ran into a member of your group named [KoF]BlUeApPlEs, or something to that effect - my capitalization may be wrong, but you get the idea. I'm going to spare you the lengthy explanations we subjected the Ravens to, but that sort of capitalization simply does not reflect well on KoF.

His behavior left some to be desired, as well - Keep a close eye on your newer members, especially in New York.

My apologies if the capitalization issue has been resolved; when it came up, I had a hard time tracking this thread down.

Another problem, the last one not being addressed yet.

Going out of roleplay to deal with well roleplayed scenarios is horrible.

This thread being the example.

There is plenty of historical precedent for economic sanctions, embargoes and blockades against nations against whom a government has a disliking. President Powell of Liberty, from the news posts, is obviously hard-line anti-Rheinland. Liberty, following an American model, with such historical precedent as sanctions against Iraq in the 90s, the Cuban blockade and many others, as an alternative to live-fire war.

Hell, right now, the USA has all sorts of embargoes. Why can't Liberty do the same?

Your going out of roleplay to whinge is annoying. Try proper in-character criticism.

The point was that the embargo is harming the economy of Liberty itself.
The embargo was imposed by the Liberty navy when they have no authority to call for one. That would be a government function.
If you agree with this trade embargo why didn't you reply in that thread?
It is a roleplay thread.
USA history does not show any trade sanctions or embargoes that harm the economy of the USA itself, they are mostly used as a diplomatic punishment tool to harm the economy of the little country imposed against.
ie. sanctions against Iraq, Cuba, Korea, Sudan, China, Syria etc did no harm to the USA.
Only in the example against Cuba were ships intercepted and searched by the Navy.
Another point is that only Rheinland ships should be intercepted and searched during this embargo (in my opinion) and indeed Rheinland npc's shouls have been intercepted and blown up for daring to come into Liberty. The blockade would be posted at the border world gates to Bering, Hudson and maybe New Hampshire systems.
(again just my opinion)
