But the current K'Hara members already ahave unlimited ZOI. They are just bound by the standards we force on official factions regarding quality of RP. As it looks from my side, they intentionally don't conduct large ''raids'', because that would hurt someone's feelings.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

lol, well.. they should make a group that wont care Smile (and not make them RP as that would take away the scary aspect of it)

Edit: and ditch the standards held on them.. let them simply terrorize people
Edit2: but only in nomad ships... make nomads scary again.

If someone was to conduct large nomraids in the omicrons I'd definitely sign up for that, on either side. I got nomad bomber+vhf+lf as well as order bomber+vhf+lf all collecting dust in the omicrons. As I remember there used to be a group of people back in 4.86 who brought some fun and action, but that died when the setmsg was removed and the leader even got sanctioned for "abusing" it or something. Not like anyone really enjoyed the forced nomad RP that preceeded the PvP, but the PvP group fights sure were fun and even brought some fun nomad/human taunting RP while the fights were going on. The group who did that seems to have evaporated though.

This scary stuff already existed, and it was the phantoms. Everyone was really pissy about them anyways

Everything changes when the environment you exist in changes as well. Not because anyone in particular has changed it, but because general opinions made it into what it is, the public trends of yesterdays formed the days passing now. Honestly, you (as in "you" the community) wanted it to be a 'safer place' to play. Quiet trade runs, calm mining, non-threatening nomads and so forth. And that's the truth of it, folks. Ironic, isn't it?

Granted there was more energy back in the day too, limits to push, surely not without intent to stir up the anthill and to make noise around too. Now though? Seeing the abundance of vitriol this community can push, the sheer insanity of screeching complaints (hi miners, traders and jack) when things don't go along their nice ans safe plans...

In some ways it is "careful what you wish for, you might get it". Ah, the controversies some of us, back then called 'Keepers', pushed for... There was more action most certainly. Can you guess how many of us from those old times are around though? So yeah, things have changed. Adapting to public wishes and community trends of yesterdays.

1. b
2. a
3. a
4. d
5. c - Limit it to official faction only and you wouldn't have problems.

I preferred the old system with Nomad Trial ID. That way a very specialized and powerful faction could be regulated properly by people who can shape the RP correctly.

Only the Nomad Official faction should be allowed to have extra powers. With great power comes great responsibility

Some people are angry that we go around terrorizing people without RP, and others think it is a good idea that they do such.

Can't please 'em all folks, what you see, is what you get. (For now at least)

As i can remember this isn't the first time when there is a talk about such thing. I support the idea to let the jellys do their things on the way they supposed to do, raw and brutal. No askin' just shootin'. BUT anyone, ever tought about let the sirian pilots engage the jellys freely without RP....maybe it's a bit too much but hey if they can do it then others why not. We don't really speak the same language so the: Hey fella i'm gonna shoot yo butt to dust part can be ignored. Or just make a quick warning before the attack with the new/old setmsg magic. Something like this: -Hostile on sight. Engaging nomad vessel. Any non-military ship, please keep a safe distance. Or like this: -I see ya squidy. Time for some fireworks! Or dunno what. Just really some minimal things.

PVPwhores can get their fun and restricting this madness to the Omicrons and to system with nomad bases and maybe to the system neghibouring them can bring some real action for the Order too. Don't know how they live their lives in these days but i bet there is any real action for them right now.

Sometimes thigs have to go crazy. Give unlimited ZOI for the officials so they can organize raids to any system, these raids can be fun for the indies too because officials can bring them too for more firepower and more fun fun fun.

Think about this scenario a bit:

3 nomad battleship decloaking front of Manhattan and just within a minute or two more fighters and gunboats swarming in. At this time the system channel is already gone crazy because of the said 3 battleships and just 3 minutes afther the arrival of the nomad fleet the system is in complete chaos. Navy fleet moving in to get rid of them. They engage as soon as they're in weapons range. Now some fun twist for the story. As the battle becomes bigger a medium sized Order fleet joins the fight. The just come out from nowhere. Some of them decloak behind Manhattan and move in to engage others simply fly in so now 3 groups fighting eachother but because of the superior tech what the nomads have humas have to join forces together to bring down the common enemy.

At the end of this there is many ways to end the story. Maybe the even can capture a fighter or something and they can arrange a short time no-engagement pact so the two fleet can work together to get some info out from the captured ship, or if there is no captured ship then they can talk about what to do next continue the fight against each other or just simply say thanks and escort the Order fleet out of Liberty space or anything else. Maybe the Order can perform a safety scann on the others to make sure nobody got infected in the fight (who knows). There are tons of possibilitys.

There is no such thing as too much firepower.

If you're suggesting that nomad indies could leave Omicrons with officials then it would need a modification in their ID. It is a bit of can'o'worms as then a question of responsibility arises, and a bit of ambiguity - like for instance what happens when 'official' one dies in a fight or disconnected? Can indies wander on their own around or they are required to return back to Omicrons? I'm open to having this feature added - but some ambiguities should be hammered down first before admins even get to consider this proposition.
