What stops you from doing the same?

I think the jumping out of a fight is actually an interesting thing. But the person shouldn't be allowed back into the fight (pvp death for 2h or till they leave).

Then again I'd be totally for also having a counter against it.


EDIT: I think that either all (heavy) BS or no ship should be able to do that though.

Maybe what's wrong is that neither of you had skills, and not that the Jumping ship was OP? Also...consider that not all Caps are equal, nor should they be. The Rheinland BS is a beast of a machine, especially compared to a a Dread.

So...that gives you 5-10 minutes to kill something else until that ship gets back, and I've seen more than 1 BS get destroyed in 5 minutes. And if it's a BS, that certainly takes some hitting power out of the opposing force if it leaves, doesn't it? Let's not forget that also gives you 5-10 minutes to disengage, dock, reload, and come back, yourself.

The last speed buff totally removed any chance for battleship pilots. It is quite hypocrite to yell- BS does not give blue when he have no other chance to run because cruise speed nerf.

The battleships are so overnerfed. Leave the last bit of fun that they have. If the battleships had any proper guns and utilities they and any purpose in this game then they would fight instead using cheesy tactics.



Indeed it is not ok to jump out of battle, but there are many more important things that are much worse in this game. Battleship right now is useless class- it cannot kill shit on one side and on the other hand have no maintenance costs.
It is like Godzilla on steroids that is banned to get out of the water to smash the city.

Simple solution:
Add huge risk/reward guns (lost upon death) and maintenance costs to battleships, allow them to kill stuff in return.
