Jessica was absolutely 'delighted' by the answer from the female once more. The first person who she met on Padua turned out to be quite the interesting one. Heck, not even most lawfuls of Zoners would have given an answer which she has.

"You sure don't seem to fit into this sort of crowd. I've only heard one other give me an answer even close to what you have. I do think quite highly of that option, however I must disagree." Raising a single finger. "I believe the Ultimate Currency to be favors, of all things. The more diverse ethnic and groups you collect people owing you favors, the more power you have in this world. My sisters and I have turned the world into a game, where we merely gain what we want through doing things for people here and there. If we wish to collect, we owe each other a 'favor' in return."

"It may sound silly. However it quite honestly does allow you to live life in it's fullest. Meeting all sorts of people, while being able to influence minor events to your own pleasure. Cynical and selfish, to a degree."

"Ahh, you've heard me rant on for long enough, don't mean to bore you to death after we've just met."

Noting her change of topic, however deciding it was her own decision not to speak of it, and she respected that.

MJ nodded, this woman was an interesting one, and she had a point about favors. "If only more people actually thought that way." Grinning she lent forward slightly "I don't belong here, but then again who does?" She pointed to one man sitting in the corner by himself "He had a family. Wife and kids, good job on Erie." Nodding at another group "Those guys ran a pyramid business thing, selling.... Water coolers or something." Shrugging, she continued "Everyone has their own stories. We're just a bunch of misfits at the end of the day."

She sipped her drink, and had a few more chips. "So, staying here long?"

Pausing for a moment, swirling her bottle of beer for a moment as she thinks, she takes a sip before continuing. "To be honest with you, even though people do have their own stories, the mere fact that they are here in the first place may make them fit in. Sure, people may have normal lives, however the mere fact that they are aboard a base with the affiliation this one has, tells me that they.. Or perhaps even you are discontent with how a normal life will lead them. To find a place which doesn't necessarily care for morals as much as any other public establishment."

"People seem to be here because of their desire to live their life more fully, and to give themselves more room to do what they want. As a quick and obvious example, your Synth. Do that in public, you may get a visit from a police force. Here? Nobody cares."

Setting the bottle down after another sip.

"Quite frankly, I don't know how long i'm going to stay around here. I don't really have a job, you know. I left for the Omicrons to help someone put together a graviton manipulation engine, heard Ivan may need some help and subsequently went down to Cassini for a Fusion Reactor. I just.. float around. Although I admit it's sorta boring when you don't have anyone else but yourself. I don't mind the lack of company, but.. It does leave you wanting more eventually, I admit."

She nods. "I wish whatever cop shows up 'ere luck if they are trying to do something about synth." Listening to Jessica talk, she has another sip of the beer and a few more chips, nodding occasionally. "Being on your own eventually makes you a spacial kind of crazy. Company is good for the soul."

MJ leans forward again and with a wink she said "You seem alright. You'll have a friend here if you ever need a break from life." She finished that bottle of beer, resting it on the table before leaning back in her seat again.

Jessica smiles slightly at her last words. "Thank you.. It's sorta soothing to know that, I appreciate it more than you'd think.." Sitting back, swirling her beer around as she drains the remaining contents of the bottle.

Pausing for a moment, she finally decides to break the ice on a topic. "What about you then? What keeps you around these parts? Is it the environment that is something you desire? The synth? There are more exciting areas that I think you'd enjoy than places like these all of the time. Although what i'm thinking of is usually a hell of a trip, you usually find yourself in interesting situations when you leave."

MJ Shrugs slightly "I ended up here after a series of unfortunate events. Long story short it involved the cops, synth and guns. Rogues had my back, and I'd rather be here then rotting in a cell somewhere." She grins "And now the drama is all sorted, I stay for the synth. Steady supply, good client base, can't argue with that." She looks across at a group in the corner who were smoking something through a pipe. "Keeps the bar tender happy too, you know what I mean. Munchies are good for business apparently."

Folding her hands, propping her elbows on the table. "Have you ever wanted more? Do you desire more than what you have, in terms of how you're living right now? Or are you perfectly content on how things are here and now. Straying from the lawfuls is fine and all, but is that really what you want to live like your entire life?"

Pausing. "Of course I would understand if your answer is this was all you wanted as well. Having a credits income, a group of people who have your back.. It's not too bad, I admit."

Shaking her head slightly she answered her questions "Yeah, I've wanted more. But, reality is, once you're a Rogue, you don't generally get a second chance."

Pushing the chips slightly more to the center of the table, she looked back across at a group in the corner "I make do here, its homely enough, people are alright."

Jessica taps her fingers against the table gently for a few seconds, eying the woman in front of her carefully.

"What if I could offer you this second chance that you seem to deem quite rare in the Rogues business. It's not clear skies, however it indeed is another way to live. Perhaps a more exciting one than the same thing every old day. Of course that's subject to your own beliefs."

Sitting back in her chair, crossing one of her legs over the other idly.

"I suppose you don't need to answer that right here and now, if you don't want to. Take your time to think it over if that's what it takes. Merely an offer, don't feel like there's any obligations."

She nods slowly before getting the bar tenders attention, and another two beers. "I'll get back to you on that one. I'd like to, but its a big ask, you know. Everything have is 'ere now. Well, almost everything." She looked across as another group who had just entered began to get loud and a punch was thrown. Shaking her head she muttered "Idiots."
