...why on earth would you do that? Capships aren't horrible, it's the players behind them that count. All a capship is is a ship that takes more responsibility to RP than a fighter.

yea - i think all i d say is "suit yourself". those that believe that there is more quality RP in a fighter are wrong. - the size of the ship does not affect the quality of roleplay or how convincing a role is transported to others.

either way. if you feel like you don t want to fly a capship - don t do it. if you want to fly a capship, go ahead. as long as you don t believe that flying no capital ship makes one holy and flying a capship makes you a "whore".

if it was about me, i could live with the whole server flying starflier and thinking they are roleplaying on a higher level. - doesn t affect me much, i d still fly what i like.

now, i think you have just lost a lot of cash, and i do hope you won t regret your decision, cause when you decide to fly a capship again.... you have lost double in that process.

After posting about how terrible capships are, I realized I'm a giant hypocrite.
Therefore I deleted all of my caps, 1 BS, 1 Cruiser, 2 GBs and sold/gave away my cap armor 7's.
Hopefully I inspire at least one other man to do the same : ) (hopefully one on the lawful side to even things out right?)

um...why would i applause you? That sounds ('cause of the lack of better terms) stupid.

I have to agree..It is not the ships that are inherently bad it is those who use them only for PvP with no RP behind them at all. I have a Saber VHF and a GunBoat and as third in command of the SOB i feel that a GunBoat is well within my RP. However i see far to many who trade/smuggle like mad and then buy the biggest cap with the best armor and weps they can get just to fly around blasting lone ships with their buddys. No role play no story behind the ship nothing but PvP. Or they still fly a fighter/bomber until what ever base the operate from is threatened and then out come the caps. I have seen it happen far to many times when a lone pirate enters liberty (manhatten in particular) and is pursued by half a dozen caps.
