Well, basically when the bar is full you get the 'Omnipotent' rank, which makes you a superpower. After that, there are still lots and lots of badges to receive, in order to unlock better equipment and stuff. After that, your ultimate objective would be to reach the center of the galaxy. All I can say, in order not to spoil it for you, is that it's gonna be a bloody ride.
