Good call.

Were fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

+1

Although to be fair, if there wasn't a POB slap bang in the middle of the ore field I wouldn't mind it so much. Infact before there was a POB in the middle of the ore field piracy was quite high in the area and it was a lot of fun to play there.

Piracy can offcourse still occur between the pirate and the transport if they wait far enough away, but it kills all interaction for miners in the area. The miner won't be interacting with any pirates because of the POB which kills anything that gets close, so pirates will be forced to only target the transports.

Not only does that POB prevent miner-pirate interaction, it also kills miner-trader interaction (Which I believe, though I could be wrong on this matter, the Junker Congress actually promote, if I remember correctly when asking for docking access they want people to agree to only sell ore directly to the POB & traders have to agree to only buy ore from the POB). Because what trader is going to sit in the ore field and wait 5-10 mins for ore and pay 3.5k per piece? After all they can just dock on the POB and buy all the ore they want for 2k per piece.

The PoB rules have been changed, there is no obligation to sell it on the base now (the OP in the Saltese thread might need edit though). The aim is to make it into a regular mining PoB similar to others around.

After the Guard system overhaul, in which Humboldt will be merged into Kansas (I know this to be the plan), we will have the reason and opportunity to move the base, and it is planned to be placed out of the mining fields to avoid future issues like this, while still provide a place for miners and traders to trade ores.

Falster was moved to allow O3-O7 gate piracy.

I am sure you can request to move your station even now, for the benefit of gameplay.

Well that certainly makes me feel better about things, may I ask do you guys have a rough idea of how far away from the fields the station will be? As in will it be far enough that the miner won't be able to run to it's weapon platforms (hopefully unlike the ones in Alberta at the moment)?

Good point; we have some issues to take care of first in the faction, then this can be carried out.

You mean the 2k price on the PoB? It is still being tweaked, but the low price has an opportunity to sell the ore on Cali minor in case the base gets too full. You have a suggestion on the price?

I had the idea to place it directly between the two fields; what do you think is a good distance from the mining fields? 15k is enough, or it should be more? Hegemons are easy to catch in the asteroid fields.

not about the PoB. The sell points on NPC bases.

Around 20 k is a good one to start with. Not that I am going to pirate in there anytime soon. Also, what are the sellpoints of Silver ore? Apart from Narita, is there any good sellpoint that compares to that of the other ores?

exactly . The ones given are so bad that it's not worth to mine silver at all.

The ~10k sellpoints in Kusari and Gallia, maybe?
