Thanks for the break, it was a big relief. I can only speak for myself, but I certainly had more time to do other things in-game beyond running the same route for an hour to keep our bases alive.

I enjoyed the break from base mantainance. Why not keep base commodity consumption off until the update is released? It'd be like a mortage (or hostage situation). We keep this perk til Devs release the update.

I don't mind the upkeep so much, although I do wish it was either A) less materials getting consumed (see Zed's suggestion thread about Life Support commodity for a good alternative), or B) a lower consumption rate so that less runs are required, especially if bases are going to keep going in the direction of being made easier to destroy and more difficult to upgrade.
