Thats actually why I propose to make it only a loss for cap ships classes (with a mountable crew and such).

also varyag: if you have a smaller number of caps on the server, why should ppl whore bombers? I sorta smell a "all evil bombers vs my cap" mentality here:P

I agree with Tenacity, Im not feeling this one. Trading is a bore and until the missions get fixed in the next ver that is the only way to make money.

Right now, honestly... caps arent capable of much more than an anti-NPC and RP'ing platform. Why do you want to nerf them even more?

Every bomber in this mod is capable of carrying more firepower than a battleship, for a fraction of the cost.

And for dealing with BH capwhores I might add. But yes the current cap setup is a bit weak. Hopefully there will be a rebalance

Those BH capwhores shouldnt be around if the ID changes go through. You'll need a Bounty Hunter Guild Core ID to fly the heavy capships, and you have to have fairly high BHG guard rep to get one.

Same goes for the other factions. As far as I'm aware, you need a Guard ID to use heavy capships, getting a guard ID takes near-full guard rep, and most capships should be sold in guard systems only now, meaning factions can regulate them.

At least, that's what i've heard... and i'm kinda counting on it being true.

Wouldn't we need the source code to do something like this as well?

But as Tenacity said. We, the order, are low in numbers and we would get screwed in combat.

this would remove a large portion of the fun from the game in my opinion. i don't think many people would want to make this game turn into a chore.

EVE online is a perfect example. In EVE, unless your in a huge corp that will refund you, the risk of going out into space is far greater than the reward. having to wait for a large enough group to go mine/trade for enough money to pay for your deaths while mining/trading.

too much like work, and we all know that isn't fun.

how about we stop trying to fix what isn't broken
