Finally, I've decided to run away. Freelancer was an excellent game once, but Elite: Dangerous is a much better one.

Perhaps it's just me getting old, or something else. I think I won't regret my leaving, though.

Yes welcome to the Dark side. Seriously though. Disco has gotten stale. It was an awesome game about 3 updates ago. Now it is just behind the times in graffix/ships/performance, and in some cases players. It has become to much of who you know.(yes all you admins you can deny it, but maybe 1 day you will finally admit it is a popularity thing)
Elite has no dam factions, no controlling parties, and no dam admins saying who can play what ships. All is open to anyone who buys the game, and makes the cash, or has the skill to get what ever they want. All is equal. Not Disco's dam "make an SRP, and maybe if us all mighty like it you can have a ship/loadout you want" crap. You want it? just buy it and have fun in Elite.
Also you do not get idiots calling you an attention whore like above just cause you tell your buds on forum you are leaving.

Elite: Dangerous would be a pretty good game if it had gameplay more rewarding than "drive a space truck until you've made enough money to buy a bigger space truck.". Fun game until you realize that "the grind" - be it hunting bounties, mining, trading.. - to get a bigger, better ship is really all there is to the game.

Oh, and the fact that if the entirety of Earth's populace played the game, most of the game's universe would still be entirely devoid of life. The downside of recreating the milky way, y'know.

Don't get me wrong though- I understand why people would want to leave.
Disco is beyond boring at this stage. There's no form of satisfaction, at least- for me, coming from this game. The only thing that brings me fun these days is sleeping, Mass Effect and the occasional retard fest in the Core| Emergency Skype Chat.

Pretty sure nobody here has every single person on the forum as a friend.
Like, if I left- for example, nobody in their mother would give a single toss. If I made a thread like this, I'd just be flooding the forum for no reason.
If I want to say that I'm leaving, I say it over Skype or through other means to actual friends/faction chats or whatever else exists on this mod that requires attention from a leaving person.

Now if you're gonna' tell me that Winter's got every single discoperson as a best friend, I'll shoot myself in the nuts with a brick and change my name to Steve Stevenson.

Last thing: Winter's a good guy. Have him on Skype. Don't start saying that I have some burning hate for him just because of my first post.
