Bs| to Order indies

Name change probably won't happen.

We get alot of support from the actuall clan Bs|, from which Freelancer was added too. People will just have to learn, suck it up:)

So our ZOI. I always wondered why Colorado was in there lol. Although a treaty with the Xenos a while ago did grant us landing rights on Xeno bases for fighter class ships. Non the less, I'll bring this up on the Bs| forums and we'll see what can be done about it.

edit- I checked our faction post: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...=8690&st=40 and the Liberty systems are under "engagement", and by description you can only go there with authorization. I don't see why we would go as far as California, maybe a nomad infested person tries to run? Anyways, the way I see it no one goes into Liberty without approval.

anyway, the order only gets a gunboat, a destroyer and a cruiser - and none of those will be badass anyway - i m sure we ll see to that.

Uh... so what happened to our carrier? Is it considered a cruiser?

I was under the impression that it was more along the lines of battlecruiser-strength, still using cruiser shields but with higher armor and more weaponry than a standard cruiser...

honestly - are there any order players that fly an osiris and blow up anything they want right now? - i m not online for very long periods in a row... but i NEVER seen any order warship go on a rampage in ooRP ways, nither faction, nor non-factionized.

Well, as an experienced player here you're probably smart enough to avoid new york, which is where the problems have been occuring lately. In the past week, we've had 3 or 4 incidents where 2-4 osiris battleships plus fighters/gunboats/etc. tagging along have invaded new york with little to no RP involved, just to start fights with liberty. That's something the order should never be doing. I can name several Osirises off the top of my head that have either been involved in those attacks, or have never said a word of RP around me in-game.

Im in agreement with it in some way. The restriction of Osiris would be good but you would also need to restrict the smaller cap ships we will be getting.

So in a way I think we're going a step toward what the RM does but i like the idea to say the least.

I would rather have the order end up like the rheinland military than have it end up like the liberty navy or bounty hunters. No offense intended to the few good players in those groups, but both are full of RP-less capwhores that only exist on this server to pvp.

the RM has absolute restrictions. I think it's like no indie cruisers or bigger what so ever. I don't plan to do this.

Keep in mind that in RP, Evora shipyard could never produce Osiris's so fast.
I agree with the smaller ships. That cruiser/destroyer thing looks awsome and we'll probably see alot of them cause of their price. But hopefully the bomber will attract some people too lol.

@Tenacity: cruiser, battlecruiser, destroyer - all the same to me ... - and new york, yes i m not really there, i try to stick to texas in my LPI and other than that i m happy with 15 - 20 minutes of delta / day - and thats enough FL then.

i have written a VERY restrictive ID card for the upcoming reconaissance destroyer ( like there are only 1 or 2 and they never fall into the hands of untrusted people as they re too precious [ meant to be more powerful than the spyglass ] ), and a rather restricting one for the carrier, too. ( something along the lines like "they are refitted osiris class battleships and there are only like 2 of them from whats known - vague enough to have more, but precise enough to suggest they are not really many )

dunno what legenation wrote into the ID card of the gunboat, but i think a gunboat will be mass produced like any other, so there s no need to really restrict it much.

if we're going to restrict caps, restrict everything cruiser/destroyer-class and higher. With the gunboat being added, indies who want caps without going through all the "red tape" and "paperwork" to get a cruiser/carrier/battleship can go with a gunboat instead.

I really hope a lot more players choose to fly the new sehkmet bomber, and that we have a lot who remain flying nephthys fighters - the order is supposed to be an elite fighter group, not a huge capship fleet =P Plus, with me going after the carrier, it would be beneficial to have more fighters around to RP with as a "mobile base".

As for how fast evora produces ships... well I have a bit of detail on that in the upcoming story I'll post once 4.85 is released.



@Jinx Has a name been decided on for the carrier (and the destroyer) yet?

In the story I'm writing, my character is flying out to Evora for the launch of the first two order carriers, one is named the Hathor (which would be a good designation for the ship, just like the original osiris-class ship was named the osiris) and the other - my ship - is named the Bastet.

Tenacity, perhaps you could include links to the RP stories for the battleships in your Order roster. That could help maintain visibility of the various RPs out there as well as a reference for any that are not being RPed.

Right, so obviously we've got alot of stuff going on both online and offline.

I just want to make a few things clear and then let everyone know what will be done and what you can do. Please read the whole thing, especially the end.

With the basics.
Bs| has control over the Order. Bs| leaders are Order leaders and what we say goes, that's it.
The Order is one big fleet, mechanics, doctors, everyone is a pilot. That's why the leaders are all admirals and the Order is under command by the 4 Bs| admirals. This means there is no such thing as an indie Order admiral or any other non Bs| admiral. And for the record, the admirals are
-Ascendancy (Fleet Admiral)
-Myself (Vice Admiral)
-SeanTheDestroyer (Mid Admiral)
-Zavier (Rear Admiral)
We each have our set of characters, but those are our forum names and stuff.

Bs| is the only organized group within the Order. I don't want to see anyone making any rp "fleets" within the Order. As that would also say that there is an admiral at the head and there's not. I don't mind "multi purpose strike groups" or whatever, just not fleets.

Now, once 4.85 we will be restricting Osiris's and other capital ships with an iron fist. dictionary. I won't tolerate any more indies with no rp purpose taking our ships and giving the Order a bad name. I will make your Order "rp" miserable until you get a hold of yourself.

To Bs| members! Just because you are part of Bs| does not give you absolute power. Please respect each other, no matter if or if you are not in Bs|. There are some indies whom I respect and have shown very good rp. Being in Bs| also means you have responsibilities. I expect you to know our rules and know when to do what. This also means showing indies that Bs| is in control but being nice about it hehe. If you see someone doing something wrong, please try and help them fix it. Now, you also have some power, that's true. Say there's a group of Order ships around, you're in charge, you lead cause it's your job. Don't make us look bad but have fun.

To Independants!
This whole post is pointed to you.
Some of you have been great in your rp and I appreciate your involvement with Bs| and everything has been great.
If you have independant capital ship, ie. Osiris, please get an rp story set up as soon as possible and post it and work on it and make sure it's in depth. Once 4.85 comes out and I see indies, I want to see their rp too. But if I just see a paragraph about the ship I'll get mad at the effort. And like I said, we will get you to uuh decomission your Osiris as we have done in the past.

Now, last part and most importantly!
I want to get the input from everyone who has an Order character. Bs| or not. Please let me know if you think a policy or Order space law or whatever should be changed, added, or removed. I want your ideas. I don't want to make Bs| an Order dictatorship. Tell me what you think and we'll work together to work it out. If you don't say anything then don't complain when you see something done you don't like. Please please please talk to Bs| and get involved.

I hope this has all made sence and I appreciate any responses cause I really want to get Indies to work with us and make the Order a better faction. Flame this post and I will get mad, this is ment to help.

What a bunch of fun. (What a shame independents are enforcing Bs| policies since they are almost never online, and yes, you can take the the name of the clan to be the other meaning as well.)

Apart from that, I have an order character and I am thinking of upgrading with the new mod release. I am not intending to write anything on it, however, you want people to write up forum RP. Why? It is not a prerequisite to fly any ship and never should be.
