Dynamic Rp_Rp certainly is possible; after a month or two on the server it's now the only thing I seek to do on Disco and only use Skype to socialise. It's very possible to have an enjoyable experience without OORP arrangements: though dependent on the RP avenue, I sometimes send a quick forum message to check the other party involved doesn't feel like they're being powergamed if the RP is of risk of being as such :3

I always hesitated to start it and was awaiting for an opportunity which was rather a mistake of mine. Log in - see someone near, go there and start RPing whatever comes to your mind.
Sorry for double posting but Swallow hit the nail on the head. The only thing I would add would be that on approaching potential rp partners, have something to offer to their character and implicitly offer a reason to RP. Sometimes this is as easy as knowing the faction tag and predicting their aims but occasionally you'll have no idea who they'll be. Bend slightly to accommodate but I'd recommend never compromising your character for their benefit. It's a slim line but two characters meeting on that line is a beautiful sight.
In time, and with a little forum prescence, rp will start finding you as well, Just takes a bit of effort upfront.

I intend to bring back the auto mining drone AI. I had a hoot with that in the Omegas for patient pirates.
As a trader, it's a hit or miss if RP ensues as the pirate may want the money and run or get tired of me talking. I tried to talk then fight my way out of a situation, ended badly. Trouble is, what is better for RP. Talking and finding a lower cost end, talking to hold for hopefully patrols but nope that's their friends Im screwed, or talk, fight and surrender and hope they stop firing? I remember Rorry was famous for taking apart your ships components and hull to basically nothing but leaving you alive.
Kina the situation you have one bullet left, you're already shot and dying, do you use the last bullet on your enemy and you die in horrid pain, or end your life now?
Gota see the situation for what it is and oddly with trading runs, if I die I lose about 1 mill and they may make 20 when they just wanted 3. I was smug and thought I could win. I was kina close.....kina.
