I do understand your point, but still think the fact that this is a(n obscure) game should take precedent. I support the idea of turning off PoB consumption for two weeks, or at least the few days surrounding Christmas and the end of the year.

Shall we turn off POB base damage as well? If you are not going to be around to supply a base, then you wont be around to defend it either.

No, sieges should remain viable. Wear and tear damage, as well as FWO consumption, should be temporarily disabled so there's no need to babysit a large investment of time and effort as much as usual, due to the unique time of year.
A player request post requesting POB consumption be disabled during the holidays would probably get the Admin's attention better and they can then put it up for vote.
We have duly noted your concerns (we have already been discussing it).
You will be informed of the decision in due time

I had shoulder surgery and couldn't play for two months because my arm was immobilized. When I asked for a dispensation based on the fact that I was in physical distress and was incapable of playing, I was told to hire someone to cover for me.
I think that a similar logic would apply for holidays where it is just a convenience. After all, you are choosing to not play rather than having a disability.
