Hola,

the captain from this destroyer was acting independently. We dissociate from this incident.
I hope this incident will not break up the neutrality between the junkers and the outcasts.

Cdr. Jaramago

*** End of transmission ***

FROM: Arbiter Vladimir Tinkerbell

Since this transmission was rebroadcast, I'll comment a bit on the political dynamics:

No matter what one's allegiance, individuals make bad calls on occasion. Part of our stance earlier at Yanagi with our trade partners is we wanted it made clear that these sort of individuals weren't an issue in our politics and relations and we wanted it made clear that we were free to deal with ordinary "riff raff" no matter what their so-called associations were.

We see a Junker doing something incredibly stupid and in an unrepentant way we will turn him in. Stupid is as stupid does -- criminal is as criminal does.

It was one captain making a bad called that's how nature weeds out the weak. Outcasts, Corsairs and Junkers all understand this. If the situation had been reversed, I assure you the laughter in Rochester at the Junker captain could have been heard in a vacuum too.
