Since I never played WoW, I cannot tell about all your points.

I believe you BUT. Why would they make WoW then? I mean,
storywise. If they don't make it into canon, why the hell make the game
and with Illidan killable, and the Lich King and Arthas.

That's what I do not understand.

PS: I know Illidan is killable because I read it somewhere.

Fletch, get used to it. 10 Million subscribers? I know only one game
that comes that near.....

If your mindless attempts to insult us fall well below the expected standard of English language usage on this forum, you will find yourself wearing your next takeaway, instead of eating it sir.

Answer: Marketing + lack of new storyline. The Author is not yet finished.

Also, the game was designed to be fun, not logical or follow a certain story.

It was meant to be: "Travel the lands of Azeroth, Kalimdor, Northrend and
Outland and pwn your favorite characters from the cult franchise WARCRAFT!!!"

I'm so gonna make a statue out of you if you are right.

So basically what you are saying, is that WoW, BC and WotLK are cash-cows?
I knew Blizzard was not in the charity business, but those bastards have gone
too far! :nono:

12 mil. Dang it, when did that happen?

a month maybe, before the new expansion release.

i don't know about any shows.... WoW makes no sense (storylike) to me.

IF they are doing charity...it only because of that weird US law that frees them from taxes a certain amount of time later. The same thing Microsoft did. (talk about Bill Gates BIG heart.)

So they could actually be doing charity. Go figure, I was being ironic.

Anyways, what shows do you mean?

Yep, I played WoW for a bit (ok, a few months, whatever), but in the end there was nothing else to do. I quit it without regret, since the only thing I was enjoying about the game was the people I was playing with. What I didn't like: paying like 15 bucks a month; it was impossible to get good stuff, because you couldn't get that without doing hard stuff, for which you needed that gear (viscous circle here); in the end, it was taking all my time, and I wasn't spending any time with my RL friends.

you had the most common symptoms. Psychologists all around the world are trying to figure out how can a game make people forget their real life. (mind that there were cases of death trough intoxication cause some games refused to go to the bathroom during a 12h raid.)

one more reason to call most psychologists idiots. 90% of them should be patients, how can someone not understand human psychology as simple as that which concerns gaming and be called Dr. or Magistrate?
Why not just compare gaming with a good book? i know sometimes i read my favorite 2k page book it was so interesting i couldn't sleep at night....just reading like crazy. Same as watching a good movie(only their duration is acceptable) Is their intelligence so limited? (ok this is profession bashing...ill go no further since its offtopic...not all of them are retards.)
