Ship idea - ANS Reliant

The Reliant's Captain was British, the crew were of all Alliance nationalities.

Aside from that, it blew up. In another sector. Then over a hundred years passed. Then the solar system it was in blew up

The Brits can claim this one (it's a re-commissioned British carrier called the ANS Reliant)

I was thinking more along the lines because it was destroyed over 100 years ago and it would be exactly like look at me I found the titanic and am sailing it around the open black that would be silly I was thinking more along the lines of it would be more like someone digging through history finding bits of data fragments putting them altogether and having say somewere like southampton shipyard be commissioned to resurrect the ship class with the help of the historian design specs. Then one could name the constructed carrier as they would see fit. I found the carrier awesome in starlancer an I'm not to sure but i dont think Bretonian armed forces have a carrier an this class of carrier would do nicely.

Meh, the ships used in Starlancer are out-dated tech by this time anyways. If anything they'd be for recreational use, and I doubt the Reliant would fit in with the Bertonian ship scheme. I like the Starlancer ships too, but they don't really fit in with the Freelancer 'verse.

I'm afraid I must agree.

No more imports, even if they are from Starlancer. Crossfire has a few of the Alliance fighters available, and well, they just don't fit in.

I guess you are right it wouldnt fit into the design scheme of current bretonian style, how ever it is an older ship it could be remade to modern standards. I would either agree with it using as a recreational vessel or a light carrier its not so much the original specs as they could be modified but the ship itself the shape I think its design sets the best look for a carrier class of vessel. Its highly unlikely to bring this type of old carrier into the verse but if it were I could RP it as the past time for my character and dedicated hobby is history I could put together the design an schematics par say an submit it to be constructed at southampton shipyard.

Well, unless you make the model and everything yourself, and somehow convince Igiss to let it be in the mod, i doubt anyone's gonna make a ship just for you. Since, looking at your last post, that's what it's about yes?

Well I guess it wont be happening I have no tech skills I tried to be able to run the cap ship in starlancer an it just stuffed up.

an know its not just for me I reckon its a really good design an could be implemented as a carrier for the bret I was just saying that I would be one of the people that would use it. It might be out of dated but there are no out of dated ships i've seen so far in fl an discovery. I reckon it would be an excellent way to have some sort of link to the past on top of having a good looking carrier for service which could be modified for modern day warfare

Ok well since so far this shape and style of ship has come back with not so positive returns. What about any form of carrier for the bretonian armed forces could some form of carrier be implimented for the Bretonian forces then maybe. Would anyone have any suggestions for a carrier for the bretonian armed forces since as far as I've seen there is a lack of and well my idea using the design of the relient carrier as the carrier hasnt worked out.

Next person to bring designs or ideas on a carrier upto the table please :) I would be really interested

What does Reliant looked like anyway?
I think sarlancer stuffs doesnt quite fit around for the alliance... the coalition ships we have here were only very loosely based off from the starlancer coalition' Basilik prototype fighter.
