People are moaning too much about sanctioning, ive been here on and off for over two years, nary a sanction on my sheet.
is it really so hard to follow rules?
mind you discretion is king when spotting rule breaking.

While I agree that the number of sanctions does seem to be getting more and more, and personally I don't care about all the little rule details like cruising to catch up, or rping for an engagement. I never break these myself, but if others do so I shrug it off. Usually too busy trying to stay alive to take screenshots anyways.
But people who break the rules knowingly and get away with it are more likely to repeat until they get caught and sanctioned. It's the only way they learn. I'm sure the admins are receiving many more sanction reports than what we see everyday.
I wont give up, but I know how you feel, You have to screen everything or you may have problem later... Some people simply like to report, no matter if the target has done anything. Its no-good, but some people simply are like that, jealous, loosers, or just "evil" that they try to solve everything that way.
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.
If you are not having fun, for whatever the reason, then it is really not worth it.
NO FUN = NO GAME. If what's bothering you outweighs the fun you are having....
Then what's the point??

If your mindless attempts to insult us fall well below the expected standard of English language usage on this forum, you will find yourself wearing your next takeaway, instead of eating it sir.
I always have fun when I play. Only few times where the chasing becomes annoying but non the less I guess it's where you try to RP at is where the game changes.
ESRB: Game experience may change during online play.

Well, but in this case, who is making the game? You have to play with people here. Otherwise,
SP it is.
If this server gets to the point where I am more concerned about being sanctioned and/or sanctioning
someone, you can bet I will be leaving.
And people are a problem everywhere. Family, friends, work, social environments. As in RL, disco is full with people who will annoy you. Here you can avoid them. Can you avoid the in RL?
My point: You're having more frustration than fun?
Either deal with it, or it's not worth it.....

Well Suzanna, i have come to notice several things about this server. Too many new players that do not read the rules first. and too many that think that the only way to RP is to shoot and kill red things. I have noticed many of times, i have just been sitting there in open space doing nothing with only RP cargo in my hold and I'll have bounty hunters fly up to me and say "die outcast" and begin to engage me. But, this is the only problem i have with the server today. Not enough RP from players before they engage, its like their goal is to just "wtfpwn" everyone. I like to have a chance to talk my way out of engagements, its clever and to me personally, promotes good RP.

It happens. It's like the Stock Market... Or, like it used to be... The number of reports goes up and down. Is the nature of Disco really going to make you quit?
Yes it will. Because people come here to have fun, and being hounded and constantly looking over your
shoulder about rules that may or may not come into being alongside "noobish" behaviors and immature
whining...
That's not fun.
The nature of Disco has its good and bad parts. Suzanne isn't talking about only the sanctions.
There's an uglier side to disoc that has come out in the last couple of months.
Some people will come up and say "I've seen worse", but that's missing the point.
The excuse "That's the way it's always been" is not good enough. We are dealing with real
people here, NOT the characters. When community members become report happy, and constantly
pitpicking about the rules... When "the way it's always been" is turning people into monsters and
bitter egos....That hurts. I'm not talking about in RP monsters...I'm talking about how each one of
us treats our fellow human being. I'm not even approaching this with a uutopian idealistic way,
im looking at basic human needs and understanding / communication issues.
People seem to play RULELancer or Screenshotlancer or even Rulelawyerlancer
instead of coming to this server and playing with other people for Roleplaying Freelancer.

There's no need to avoid PvP, but there may be a need to pick fights carefully.
The problem is that fights pick you. This thread isnt about being sanctioned.
I've never been sanctioned either, but I completely understand what Suzanne is saying/going through...And agree.
