My AI mood started and ended with when Snake tried to get me into his group. Just like with the Junkers, it seemed as though it was one of those IDs that you'd have more fun playing as an indie, rather than a tagged character.
Gaians? Tbh, sounds harsh, but I never really cared much for their lore. It actually seemed just a tad on the silly side.
I also had an Order character indie, but that was back when we were all chilling in Minor and butting heads with LNS near the Minor-Alaska hole as to who could farm the local nomad BS patrols. Things were a lot more erratic back in the day, and even though I have an Order bomber, I've not logged it ever since I created it to help one of the TS peeps intercept a smuggler. Might be wiped at this point, I should check.
I don't know the policy's for the 101st as I have never flown with the, but im not a big fan of Outcast factions myself due to the skill level which is required to be a member for most of them, and I honestly hate flying alone, I find it very boring and slow and no fun at all.
Corsairs, from what I have seen there has been many Corsairs factions around recently and most of them are active, [TBH] and there is CNS I think are both active and they will welcome new players as such. Especially with the new Nomicron mining that has just been implemented from what I hear there are 3 new locations which could bring some cool activity too.
The BAF is a good choice, I myself am a member and I think you will get on really well there, we always have between 1 - 4 active members at any time so all you need to do is ask for someone to log and sure someone should log with you
I'd recommend trying something Kusari-wise, I get the idea that you haven't been doing much there.
A whole new avenue, especially if you go for the conservative traditionalist type of character. Ofcourse, that would probably mean having to reconsider your stance on Hogosha, or check out the Exiles that are around.
I find myself in the same situation, I don't know what to join. Mostly because most activity is in Liberty, that makes hard to pick a faction anywhere else. I am in the Congress and I were in RM, but I don't really see myself investing in another "Navy" RP. As a indie is fun but its lost its charm to me, flying alone gets boring at some point. The Omicrons never really attracted me. I once was in Core back in 2010 but yeah, I am looking for a good RP faction with moderate activity (at least 1 member to fly to and engage in RP/PVP with others) but these days it is kinda hard to find such thing. I was looking into some unofficial factions but I don't know, maybe I will pick up one of the options from here.
Flying solo is not fun anymore for me.
I'd suggest to join Outcasts or Corsairs, both IDs have a giant RP and PVP potential wich recently was mostly wasted. Me and @Clavius are currently putting a lot of the efforts to fix that issues. In NC- we restricting big caps, using mostly the battleships which existed before under the banner of different factions, GB and other not so big stuff is pretty much free to get. I only ask to use GBs wisely, because some snub pilots are painfully reacting on GBs.
Rheinland and Kusari also need a lot of love, Core and the Order always will be the nice choices. There are tone of opportunities to play outside liberty. Saying as the person who never was a part of any libertorian factions.
Thanks to generous viewers, I've never really had the need for ingame credits, since I do not fly anything bigger than a gunboat. I flew a lot with the IMG because of how fun they are to chill on Teamspeak with. I mostly did scouting/escorting for them.
As for Kusari, tbh, I do not feel comfortable with the quasi-apaneese the characters are supposed to speak. It feels like I am in a badly dubbed anime for most of the time.
