The best part about it is that me and my brother stopped playing Company of Heroes in order to play Starcraft, and that it made me spend the last minutes of 2008 like it was 1998. Such amazing balance, such fun gameplay, it's something modern games have yet to copy with such success...

HOW LOVELY IS THAT!
Now, not only do you have to pay for Starcraft 3 times, you need to pay to play online.
After reading a PC Gamer magazine with the Most anticipated 2009 games.
Starcraft 2 each chapter will have 30+ missions focused on one faction and MP you have access to all.
The only thing that would be annoying would be that having to three SC2 installs. Unless You have an option to install SP only if you have MP installed from another chapter.
And BNet2.0 I think they wont charge. It would be a bad thing to do with all non-MMO multiplayer games on PC being free (GFW Live has been Fully Free For Awhile) and with the anticipation of D3 and SC2
They are bound to sell lots of copies. Why need to charge more?
Three parts and p2p? No, thank you Blizzard. Starcraft and Warcraft III were great games, but if this is just another money grubbing attempt like WoW, Torrent + Private servers, thank you very much.
I still play on BNet occasionally. I'm actually playing trough the campaign of SC (not BW) again right now. Anyone got an idea what the release date is now?
EDIT: Everyone's favourite unit? Just curious. Probe here, I guess. Cute. Or the Observer. Or the Ghost.
My problem with Starcraft 2 is that, to me it looks like the original just with better graphics and new units (and units taken away, don't forget). But maybe that's a good thing...? Don't change alot, keep it balanced, throw some new things in, move the story forward... It would seem logical to not fix what ain't broken, it just looks a little too familiar is all that I'm saying.
But we can't state good opinions about a game none of us has even played yet (amirite?).
Seriously, if Blizzard just made Starcraft 1 with a new engine, it'd be great. I'd pay for that.

Well, why is Warcraft 3 so popular if it basically is what Warcraft 2 was?
I am not sure about how the SC2 will look like, because I do not follow those sites much, but I do understand why dividing the SP into three parts. The developers took too much and now they see they can not let the people wait any longer. You will probably disagree with me, but if I might ask you if you would rather have 4.85 with all the balance things and new ships, but with unfinished storylines and maybe few more ships missing, or completed super-overworked storyline, helluva new ships, more weapons, many new systems... 5 years later?
I've been keeping up-to-date with SCII developments, and was lucky enough to try out a beta verison a while back... it is going to be epic.
I liked everything about the original Starcraft, but the icing on the cake was the tongue-in-cheek references to 'Aliens' which most units had...
Marine: How do I get outta this chicken-s**t outfit?
Dropship: We're in the pipe five-by-five
etc... etc...
My favourite unit of all was the Terran Firebat (not included in SCII:()
simply for the lines "Ya got any questions about propane?or... propane accesories?"
I still play SC regularly:)A true classic of the genre
