Blaming your incompetence and lack of CDer in a cap fight on someone who knows more techniques than you isn't really how it goes.
Just 2 cents from someone who used to be good in caps
thanks
I should've added you and Snoopy on the list sorry bae <3

No force in space to stop you, after you EK, so it makes sense you keep moving... EK movement is perhaps the closest thing to reality we actually have in disco

Not really. No ship begins to regen core in EK directly after cruise, unless there is a tap of thruster or strafe is in between, the ship will keep drifting with lowered powercore. As battleships lack a thruster it's obviously a tap of strafe in this case. That is the full trick.

Have we finally reached an admin team that doesn't do pvp in any form?
P.S. Now to add something constructive. I hope the admin team is also aware of the tactic of EK'ing out of cruise catch up speed that was quite popular before we got different cruise speeds and you had no other way to catch up on cruising into system wall transports but to form up from EK to someone and just before you lose the catch up speed break formation and enjoy the slingshot effect of those extra 15 m/s or so.
This "outrageous cheat" or "harmful exploit" has been around for as long as the cruise drain thing.
Warning Wesker about that means you should warn more than half of the active player base...
If it's such a big problem, I'm sure a FL Hook plugin can be made which would easily disable energy regen above a given speed...

It's been around forever yes and always a source of debate whenever it popped up. I'm not surprised one bit to see this topic once again.
Using EK to cruise up and slowly let your core reload, isn't an exploit. However, using the same method with additional deactivation of your shield to instantly reload your entire power core, is an exploit and should be fixed.
