Seen it, did laugh indeed. However, smart EVE'rs mix pew-pew with corporations, industry, etc. He simplifies it quite a bit in the video. And he was describing the most common type of battles.. One big blob of ships attacking another big blob of ships where the Fleet Commander calls out targets and everyone shoots the same ship until it dies or FC changes targets. Thats why a lot of people enjoy small gang combat (15 ships or less against similar), as there is more tactics and strategy involved..
I got myself a shiney cruiser and had just gathered enough cash to move up to a larger ship, along with the skills, when I lost interest in the game:P
The gameplay by itself is a bit weak but if you are with others or in an alliance etc, it is meant to be far better.
Out of curiousity, how long does a trial account stay after it's time has ran out?
Hasn't been too long since I played it and I could do with getting a head start if I play again.

Accounts stay active for 6 months after it is deactivated. If you do not activate it again before the end of the 6th month, and the account and characters are deleted.
I actually DID buy a month's subscription a while back and got completely screwed over by my corp leader and then proceeded to squander the few million credits I had acquired on the lottery. That was that.
