Training Lesson by: LPI Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian

Re: Training for new officers.

Subject: Lesson 10. Weapons Grouping

Welcome again New Officers and returning Veterans to the continuing training series.

Today we are going to explore the subject of weapons grouping.

Weapons grouping allows you to turn on and off groups of weapons, allowing you to
conserve energy, and to allow you to switch what weapons are activated by your trigger.

I found a very good article on the neural net, I am going to point you to that article because it
is very complete and common sense.

13 Cent Killer's Tutorial on Configuring a simple weapons group

I assume that this article came from a Soldier of Fortune magazine, judging by the authors name.

You may have to scroll down, it's the fourth article down.

End Of Lesson.

Re: Training for new officers.

Subject: Lesson 12. Junker bases.

In the interests of safety of our officers, and continued good relations with the Junkers, all LPI officers are ordered to stay at least 5K from these bases. If a perp is headed there, get guncam photos and the LPI Command will forward them on to the Junkers. If A Junkers Congressman is in system, alert them that said perp is heading for their home. Once on board either of these bases, the perp is under their jurisdiction.

Re: Training for new officers.

Subject: Lesson 13. Debris Fields, the Badlands, and radiation clouds

In the interest of the safety of our personnel, do not enter the badlands more than 2 or 3K, it is too dangerous to go any further than that. Also, don't stray more than 2 or 3K from the Pennsylvania gate/Ithaca area.

Debris fields: use your judgment. If you think You are going to get ambushed, pull back until help arrives.

As for the Dark matter / particle clouds in the New York / Texas systems, don't go in very far. The Liberator doesn't have enough shielding to protect you.

A good rule is if you can't see very well, stay out of it.

Re: Training for new officers.

Subject: Lesson 14. Super Nova Antimatter Cannon

Our testing Labs have sent out a notice regarding the Super Nova Antimatter Cannon that is used on our SWAT bombers.

After firing the S.N.A.C., it needs 6 seconds to reset. If you attempt to fire it before the cycle is reset, it starts the cycle all over again. The best thing to do is wait for the 6 seconds ofr the reset to complete.

Subject: Lesson 16. The 5KYP3 (Skype) protocol and use of it by the LPI.

The 5KYP3 protocol allows all of the LPI to communicate in real time via a text based channel. Alerts, tactics, personnel issues are discussed there, along with a general chat channel.

In the Future, the LPI R&D division is trying to equip our ships with a 5KYP3 voice channel to facilitate battlefield comms.
