Duncan looks at Nick and press a button and a selection of Crayterian War Vehicles and Droids appear.

" Short and to the subject , I like it. Well , in that case we will let aside all the niceties and to get to business. Our Republic is fledgling still , this is the third Exodus we made in Sirius alone. Now , our workforce is getting pretty much stretched to the limit with our projects and we got some rumors that you are somewhat acknowledged in the Robot and Droid Constructions" *grins* " Yes CIS provided a complete file about you.... So , bluntly as it can , I wish to see if the Republic and your Company can work to create some new classes of Robots that both our organisations can use."

Dean is moving a bit forward.

" In the past , we had some problems with our AI units and we made a purge. For a few years, all data was erased. However , Sirius Robotics provided us with some of the units and they still do , but we would be more happy if they are home build. We have knowledge how to make droids for working but we lack the capacity to create extensive AI units. Mostly the mainframe. As I said , we are a bit paranoia and we have some specific laws to be followed. Would you be interested in such a joint program ? "

Nick smiles, speaking to the marshall, the playful tone of his voice replaced by a much more business like one now. "Looks like you've done your homework. Of course it helps that the installation we called home used to belong to the Republic. Yes, we do have facilities to manufacture and produce various different items, and while we may not specialize in creating robots and droids, it does lie in our capabilities to do so." Turning slightly to face Dean, he continues, "We would be interested in following a join program with the Republic however, the question must be asked. In exchange for our help and manufacturing facilities on Glendalough, what do we get?" Nick says, the smile never leaving his face as he swings his piercing gaze between the members of the delegation.

Duncan smiles and he realise that he is not made for negociations and he wishes for Dell to be here.

"Sir, the Republic cannot offer the Forlorn more then their friendship. However, the Republic is currently building 3 islands, 2 Serpent class islands and 1 Stingray. In the name of the cooperation,we will be gladly allow your knights to use our facilities on that island and to also use it as a planetside base. Word of advice, all under the Crayterian Law.

Second, as we will divert the production of the New Brunhilda and New Lutin for the droid production, I am sure that you can use them to build the components that you require for your units.

Nick shakes his head, a smile playing across his lips. "As generous as your offer for a planet-side base is, we'd prefer to allow your own population to use that land. Instead, I would propose a counter offer." producing a datapad, Nick quickly pulls up a predrafted document, containing a proposal.

A 10k buffer of space around Glendalough Orbital is to be recognized as sovereign Forlorn Hope space, which is freely open to any Crayterian ships and their allies, but is governed by the leaders of the Forlorn, and the combined laws of the Forlorn Hope and Crayter Republic are to be recognized in this radius. Planet Socorro and Oraibi both fall within this buffer of space, and will remain Crayterian property in their entirety.

"In exchange for our help with your robotics program, and the assistance we are willing to give the republic and its allies in their war with Gallia, we would liked to be recognized, formally, with our own sovereign space." Nick says, the words delivered carefully and respectfully but with enough force to show that he means it.

Duncan changes looks with Dean and proceeds to take the document from Nick hands. Slowly, it reads the pad and looks baffled.

"This is a request I am not allowed to take on my own. If you would allow me to send this message to the Ministry and the President..."

At Nicks affirmative answer, Duncan heads to the main console and inputs the pad. A quick data transfer was made and the message was sent.

Duncan returns towards Nick and he sees Dean entertaining his guests.

"...and then the whole thing started to walk , from a jolt! " and a burst of laughter emerged.

Duncan bowed politely and asked for Nick to accompany him

"You know that this is a a long shot. The President may decline this and keep the upper system under Crayterian control" says in a low voice, "and if it does, I apologize from now about it"

"Don't worry Marshall, I hope that this will not be the case. Can you now please tell us more about your Android projects? "



"Yes , please join me and Dean. He is the one to explain it better... "

In 30 minutes a Marine enters the room, salutes and give the Marshall a pad with official seal on it and leaves the room silently.

Duncan reads the pad and he looks surprised.

"Mr. Nick, seems that the Gods are in your favor. Here , have a look at the reply from the Government."

Reading the terms carefully, Nick begins to smile. Depressing the button marked yes, he hands the datapad back and extends a hand to each of the Crayterian representatives. "The terms are more than acceptable. Its a deal." He says, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Turning to face the assembled party, he lets out a small breath and speaks again. "I believe that covers everything that was on the agenda for today. All that's left to do is celebrate yes?"

Duncan smiles and address the gathering.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are having now the beginning of a new future between the Republic and the Forlorns."

Turns toward Nick

" I need to inform you that an official treaty will be drafted by the presidency secretariat, which will be sent to Glenn. But yes, now is time to celebrate."

Dean hurries to the panel and types the command for the catering services.

"May I please have prepared a small buffet and add also 3 bottles of Champagne and 8 bottles of Supernova cocktail."

Duncan smile and address Nick and the other Forlorns

"Did anyone here every tried Supernova cocktail ? Is one of the pure Crayterian Drinks."

The command circuit draws Duncan attention and a few moments later, Dell is entering the room, his face blushed.
