I have concerns about all the 42 people as they did this as a "social experiment" not for love of The Order.

Swiss/Tenacity have my support (for whatever it's worth) as -the- main Order players (except Stew, see above).

Eternal I have very little contact with (and an unfavorable impression, I don't know why) and would advise Swiss to look at that appoitment again.

Well, in the sake of fairness i'll leave myself out of this (though @ktayn, you havent seen me on the forums? are you blind??? :D)

Anyways, I've worked with swiss on all manner of things since I first started my order character (aki.kimura) on disco... and that was like 8-9 months ago. He's always worked hard to bring both factionalized and independent order players together, and I helped him and the rest of the order (both bs and indies) to the best of my ability to make that happen as well. He's a great leader, and completely deserves his place as the new leader of the official faction (black squadron, or whatever it becomes named).

Now, when all these talks about the council were going on in private between myself, wolf, swiss, ascendancy, and numerous other members both in black squadron and independent, my primary suggestion for this council was as an RP group which would decide major changes in the order's overall RP direction. My view on this was to have people who each specialize in a different type of RP or action, in order to get the most varied and input on any subject - and thus to create the most informed decision.

As an example, the leader of the 42nd (unselie) - the 42nd are a reconaissance/scouting/espionage group, and can provide insight on enemy information and movements when decisions are being made.

Stewcool RP's as the leader of the 122nd order guard, and as such can provide input from a defensive perspective - how to best keep the order fortified against it's enemies.

Another person would be chosen as the 'offensive tactics' specialist, to offer the best strategies for making an attack.

Another would offer diplomatic expertise, in order to provide information from our allies or neutral parties we are attempting to ally with, and to contact those allies when their assistance is needed.

Lastly there would be a member who specialized in research and technology, or RP based on such, and would provide info from that perspective - example, knowledge about nomad ships, infected individuals, alien weaponry, alien tactics, etc.

Now, Swiss does a lot of research RP, as do I, so I think we both qualify for that position. Swiss, being the leader of this new faction, could also qualify well for the offensive tactics position.

Myself... I have been working the past few weeks on an alliance with Kusari, and once that is done I'll be trying to find another member of the order qualified to make an alliance with Rheinland. So far my diplomatic talks with the Kusari leaders are going well - the reason I chose kusari was both because, personally, I love that area of space... but also because my character, in-RP, is of kusari origins and best relates to the kusari people. I would like to think that I qualify well enough for a diplomatic position here on the council, though I'll leave that up to the other players to decide if I'm capable enough in that role.




Now, no offense intended, but the only person listed that I do not really agree with being on the council is Eternal. Eternal is an AWESOME RP'er, and knows his character and the order well but... he just isnt around often enough. We need only the most active players, who are always available to offer their input on a decision, as the people elected to the council.

If eternal decides to become more active and play his order character more, I will fully withdraw the above statement, I think he is more than qualified to be on the council and definitely deserves the position, he just needs to be around more. Unfortunately I cant offer much of an alternative to that position - my only other vote would be Fletcher (who has been RP'ign/playing Edison.Trent for the order for a long time now).

ok, so just to re-cap the current standings.

SwissScorch, Unseelie, Tenacity, Stewcool, and Eternal being placed on the Order council?
Yes [ 15 ] [68.18%]
No [ 4 ] [18.18%]
Some yes, Some no (who, and explain) [ 3 ] [13.64%]

The "Yes" is more than double the combined votes for the other two options, which is good. Seams like the "some" option is mostly because of Eternal's activity. We know hw is capable of this role but activity has slacked. So I think the common consensus is that if he were to raise his activity then we'd be well off.

5 is definitely more than enough. Any more would just cause more confusion anyways.

Either way, let's leave this up for longer and maybe get some admin input if they want.

Well , I have to say I'm rather ... surpriced ... by some of the posts here. Never knew some people felt that way.
Well , whatever Swiss and the others thing is best for the Order , is best for me.

The only reason I can explain my ... inactivity ... is perhaps my timezone?! I'm in a GMT +3 tomezone , that doesn't realy seem to be that odd realy. Because I regulary fight BHG capitals in there masses in Delta and the rest of the Omicrons.

I am ok with all but Tenacity. Sorry mate, but i find you a little to power hungry,and you go off doing thing's you consider good for Order without talking to other's first. I have been in Order 2 plus year's, with 4 char's. Until last 6 month's, there was little to no problem's. I do not consider this just a co-incidence.
I know this is pointless, as all love Tenacity, and he will be on council no matter what. I will play as Order as per the game's original RP,and help those in game i think deserve it. the 42nd will vouch that i do help my fellow Order out. I think this council is just bogus though, sorry to all involved.:(

You guys have really done loads for the order, especially tenacity and scorch (in my opinion) so it seems fitting you all should be in the council.

Don't call it the council though. There's plenty of 'councils' as it is. Corsairs, Outcasts etc. Not to mention "THE council" soon coming in the next mod.

Anyways, chill out Ryoken. This is just a fun RP thing for those who feel like doing it, and those who feel like doing it only. If you don't like what they do or decide, you don't have to follow any of it.

Please don't complain about something that really doesn't concern you.
