It is not really a matter of ''getting gud'' as you should at least know how the cantrips work in practice so that you aren't caught dead on the wrong side of a loaded gun. If you fly transports, you should know how turret steering works, if you fly snubs, you should know how to dodge so that you can at least escape to the nearest base.

Even if your connection is not the best and you do not have a chance at competitive PVP, you should still know the basics. Visit Connecticut and get training. There are plenty of well-known people from the states which many would think twice to go up against.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

Also good news. I never expect to be one of the elite, but I do like to win occasionally. Smile

Thanks to flying transports, A LOT, over the last year and a half, as well as your handy-dandy tutorial on turret steering, that I've got down. Far from the best I'm sure, but I can hold my own. I've visited Conn many times, probably not as much as I should though. I've also watched the tutorials by @Yber, so the basics are covered. It seems now the answer is clear. MUST PRACTICE MOAR!

Thanks for the feed back guys.

Just as long as you don't have 350-400 ping like me, you'll be fine

Oh, so you're one of "them"! (sun) Thankfully, mine isn't /that/ extreme!

How's your fluct, loss, and lag? Those are far more important factors than ping when it comes to FL.

As far as those factors are concerned, they're rarely anything other than 0%, so no problem there.
