A while back, @"Sombra Hookier" told me that apparently a lack of transparency was a bit of a peeve. So, now that I got a bit of time on my hands to do stuff, I've put together a handy little list.
TITAN-Holt Products (Stock Symbol: THP) is offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance for an at least semi-transparent look into approximately half of League R&D, the other half being done by @Katt Horizon. Where we get the materials to do that research is best left unasked.
Project 135
The "LINGUA" Project is entirely based on RP with @Chronicron flying as Kessereya, and is intended to serve as either a metaphorical lightning rod or tesla coil, as the situation requires, in terms of psychic activity.
Considering that the visible components are what amounts to a brain in a jar and a radio dish, there's not much to look at. However, under the hood, the flash-grown brain has had a large portion of its organic material replaced with Optronics and minified chem-plants. This allows it to functionally simulate a human brain on a chemical level as well as effectively "transcribe" and reproduce psychic emissions.
Its in-RP use in the field is largely limited to scientific curiosity, as well as functioning as a "mail service" for Kessereya.
Project 191
The fun one. Project 191 is an attempt to make, in this order
a) Supersoldiers
b) Bioships
The UBOS (Universal Biological Operating System) is an attempt to mechanize and reproduce brain signals to things like wings, bio-projectile throwers, and entire starships. You know that TNG episode where Barclay takes over the Enterprise with his fancy neural systems reader? It's that, but with more elements of "Powered by a Forsaken Child", because they had to get the materials for their more recent projectssomewhere.
Its RP applications are largely restricted to "having a document leak out so people know how evil THP is" or the ever helpful "give a ship's AI a human avatar on the go". The whole "bioships" thing would change absolutely nothing in-game except for cutting down on in-RP materials to repair/resupply, which nobody really does anyway.
Project 219
The Mobile Shipyard is exactly what it says on the tin.
With the ship itself modeled by @MotokoSusu and with the first one manufactured by @The Unioners it's going to be awesome.
Because I write the lore on it, it can make caps in 30 seconds from a single unit of Basic Alloy through witchcraft (but in all seriousness, it's going to be a Repair Ship that's got a Bustard hull and maybe Cruiser Heavies or BS Prims as armament).
New-Model Warship
There are two separate projects planned with that name.
The first is the planned re-purposing of old assets. In this case, we're taking old models like the 4.86 Orca (renamed to "Teratorn"), Havoc (renamed to "Thunderstrike") and Atlantis (renamed to "Intervention") that looked cool but received new models anyway, either for underperforming at pvp or for other reasons.
(seriously, 4.86 Orca was amazing, dev team pls return before I have to give a bil to admins)
The second is making yet another custom warship. We're still having it drawn up, but it's going to be pure awesomeness and we're looking forward to it.
