I'm not surprised to hear from you, Keeper Leviathan. Hello.
Unfortunately, I do not have much information. All that I gathered is that there appears to be some tension between your organization and the house of Bretonia, though the reasons are currently unknown to me. Based on what I've been told, it seems that the Commodore saw fit to hold me and my escorts due to the Hellfire Legion's relationship with Auxesia--though she did not say this directly. That is simply what the Lord Commander told me was most likely.
If the notion of tension between Auxesia and Bretonia comes as a surprise to you, then I suspect that there is something more going on here. Locklear also told me that it is quite likely that the Commodore herself holds a personal grudge against Auxesia--so, while the house of Bretonia may not be at war with Auxesia, Commodore Dagon may wish for that to be so.
With any luck, this information will prove useful to you and your fellows, though I would urge you not to take actions of severe reprisal against Bretonia--the actions of one do not necessarily reflect the whole. Still, I wish you the best of luck. I hope that you are able to resolve this without violence.
Leviathan, I would like to give you a small update.
An admiral of Bretonia by the name of Edmund Steiner has reached out to me asking for more details of the situation that transpired last night. I have given him what I know--which is to say, not very much. Simply that Commodore Dagon seems to hold a grudge against you.
I thought you might like to know that this communication is taking place.
Keeper Revenant, it really has been far too long since we spoke with one another, and I hope not to keep you waiting so long in future. As promised, here are the details on the commission that we have been pursuing up until now. For posterity, I will reiterate some information that I've already told you.
What we detailed to other parties was that we are in need of a cruiser class hull that is capable of carrying appropriate armor and armament for her weight. However, this hull must also function equally well as a laboratory as Harvest Moon does, if not better in her role, as we are ultimately still researchers. The need for a cruiser-class hull was impressed upon us when we had our encounter with Amenhotep three years ago at Canberra. A smaller vessel has proven unable to hold her own, and a larger vessel would be too cumbersome and require maintenance well beyond what we can hope to provide.
We will naturally want the vessel to be able to mount the same cloaking device that you've graciously provided us aboard Harvest Moon, but we also find the utility of a jump drive and surveying equipment to be too great to ignore, and subsequently have insisted that these be included in the plans. Previous experts have assured us that it is possible to miniaturize that technology, provided we can give it enough power, which brings us to my next point.
To the end of providing this power, and also significantly cutting costs on our end, we have salvaged the reactor and engine block from the former flagship of the Nadir Reprisal Initiative, Apotheosis, as detailed below:
Our engineers, formerly crew aboard Apotheosis, have determined that the reactor can fit within the size constraints of a cruiser, as there is plenty of space between the drive core and its cowling in the original design that is not functionally necessary. However, this core design is rather sensitive, as you noted previously: both the Overlord and Osiris dreadnoughts utilize a closed loop magnetohydrodynamic turbine in addition to the reactor for maximum power efficiency. While it is extremely efficient for power, my engineers tell me that it is also inextricably tied to its propulsion, and that the design is vulnerable to jostling and sharp impacts.
Given that our vessel is a laboratory first and a warship second, I personally do not find this to be a significant enough drawback to preclude its use in the design--and, certainly, the Osiris has functioned extremely well under harsh conditions, despite its drawbacks. However, I do recall you mentioning the Ingenuus power cell as well, and I am not opposed to reconsidering.
The second point of salvage that we intend to include are the antennae of two different Resheph-class cruisers, Heket and Serqet, as detailed below:
The sensors arrays on Resheph-class cruisers are nearly unparalleled, and such powerful sensors would be an incredible boon to us.
It is also my wish that this vessel would have an observation dome, perhaps with a retractable shield to protect it from incoming fire.
With all this in mind, we initially reached out to the Natio Octavarium, as they were the ones who initially suggested the idea to us. The intent was to operate out of Sabah shipyard to construct the vessel. However, given recent diplomatic complications between Auxo and the Crayter Republic, this is no longer as feasible as it once was. I am unaware of the diplomatic status between Auxo and the Natio, but I cannot imagine that it is good at the moment, given their allies and your enemies.
Locating a party to engineer and construct this vessel has been the most difficult aspect of this process, with our lack of resources and the scope of our desired craft. Your insight into this matter will be of great help, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts in detail.

Keeper Revenant, I apologize for the second communication in so short a time, but there is one further note I would like to add.
The parts, at the moment, are still being held in the Edge Worlds, where we have had a team of ex-NRI personnel working to refurbish these parts over the past year, in preparation for their reception by a more dedicated engineering team. They are presently stationed aboard a transport called Daughter of Furiosa in the outskirts of the Omicron Minor system, where the derelict Apotheosis resides. With your approval, we would like to begin the process of moving these parts into more secure storage aboard the Citadel.
Thank you.

I'll forward these for review to the Research Department. In regards to Natio, we're probably not on good terms with them, what with us witnessing them assisting Crayter. Admittedly, they haven't been seen for a few months now.
In addition, we can extract the asset from the Omicrons via a jump ship. Do you require it? Otherwise, if you are capable of bringing it down yourself, you are welcome to use one of our auxiliary storages for your project.
Name's Onyx Statuette, member of the Directorate and subordinate of Keeper Revenant. I'll be discussing with you the technicalities of the engine-power core complex, modifications of it, and other formalities.
So, Osiris engine-power core complex. It's quite Libertonian in design: oversized for its efficiency and output, with a bulky turbine main chamber, elliptical power core housing, and redundant preburner and injector designs. "Charming".
Modifications of existing units are no easy task and while it's still less taxing on our manufacturing capabilities than building a new engine unit for capital class ship - it still takes resources to make the tweaks and time - to design it. The main point of 'miniaturization' will be replacing the power core unit, accomodating it with fitting 'preburners' and power lines, and cutting down the edges on the main turbine chamber of the engine unit, while modifying the main injection with additional performance packages to make up for the tighter turbine. Further adaptations of the nozzle design would be also beneficial. In short, refining the existing design, fitting it with a more efficient and smaller power core unit and other smaller changes to auxiliary systems would result in an 11.21% rise in efficiency while the overall size of the complex would be decreased to 68.33% of the original - it would be very tight in the engine bay yet it will fit into the cruiser-size hull. Closed-loop magnetohydrodynamic turbine designs of the Libertonian engineering doctrine will be always prone to failures, power surges, intermissive propulsion, turbine diaphragm breakdown, and sudden combustion chamber ruptures with combustible results when hit too hard - the only thing that can be done here is to add as many dampeners as possible and make sure your pilots don't ram things without the urgent need to do so.
I have the rough 'sketch' of the modified engine-core complex design transferring to you right now.
I would need some time to finish up this sketch and I still need to overcome some technical challenges - for example, how to use the existing integral 'preburner' unit in it but in general - this is what you will get.
On the topic of the other additions, such as sensor arrays and observational dome - I see no issue with just placing the antennae duplex on a moveable axis point and wiring it up to the power core unit and ship systems - you would need to turn the ship around and point the raised antennae array in the needed direction and in standby mode, it would be parallel to the ship hull. Observational dome - the question here is just where you want it, I see no issues in putting this anywhere where you see it would be fitting.
Contact me, will this work for you - and I'll try to finish up the design and I'll prepare the 'shopping list' for you. If Keeper won't say otherwise - you'll cover all costs.
Keeper Revenant, your offer is most gracious, and we accept.
Onyx Statuette, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Thank you for your prompt reply.
In matters of engineering, I defer largely to your judgment. My primary concern is the cutting of costs, and the opportunity presented by the scuttled Apotheosis proved too good to ignore in this regard. Your proposed modifications to the drive core seem sound to my engineering team at a glance, and I trust that you will be able to turn this into a suitable component for the design.
The location of the observation dome was intended to be central and recessed into the hull, as this way it can benefit from both fore and rear armor.
With this being said, and your advisory taken to heart, I give you my blessing to begin work on the complete design. Keeper Revenant, I would like to retrieve the parts from Omicron Minor at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Further data required. What kind of Transport is it? If it is too large, we cannot ferry it, and we will inplace send an escort - should it be too large.
My apologies, Daughter of Furiosa is a Scarab-class armored transport. Her bay is not large enough to carry the entirety of the components alone, so it may require multiple trips, or multiple transports.
I hope that this will be sufficient.

The Achlys will perform the extraction, along with one guard. When you are ready, inform us, and we will relay what vector you will need to proceed to for extraction. The vessel will be able to carry some spare luggage, if need be.
