Happened to me twice, once i lend 150 mills, no returns and second time I lend 300 mills to one guy, and he quit FL after that. Anyway, since that 2nd time, i don't loan people money, at all!

Lession learned:
1.Say goodbye to hours of trading for money you will never see again
2.Never give loans again

I don't lend money to people anymore. I already lost around 100 mil. this way. Also, if you do lend money and they don't pay back, you can always place a bounty. That is, if they don't change names before...

I once lent a guy 5mills... never saw him again. Older, If your're reading this, pay up.

I've lent other players money, and i've seen it repaid to me when i've logged in, 1-2 weeks later, when i'd forgetten about it (/facepalm).

Now i give out advice on how to start out a character, where to mine, what ship to buy, etc etc. I've started quite a few characters, and can usu get to level 40 within a coupla hours.

The only peeps that get sent money are those who've joined the WT: sign on bonuses of 25 million, Ladies and Gentlemen (/shameless recruiting). That does mean that i gotta be in my trading char, constantly filling the coffers - last week we handed out over 150mills, just for new ships and guns. ouch.

Talk to the players first, ask them what kind of character they want to develop. get chatting. get their skype, msn, whatever. nudge them towards the better routes. and if they're in an adv train, tell em to bugger off, cos if their too lazy to trade, then they might NEVER have the money to repay you.

When i first started i was lent around 2mil i think plus was reffered to a weps dealer who gave me around 500k worth of equipment, within 2 days i'd sent the money back to both parties plus a lil interest. Not everyone is bad! That said i never lend anyone money, even if they are just setting up (my middle name is scrooge).

I helped couple people.. even people from my own faction. Never saw them again. I even have couple of the screen shots. advanced a fella 10mill.. never heard or saw him online again, helped another one 4 mill same thing, the last person i helped i gave him 25 mill so he can buy a train.. i'm done... you try to help people and be nice and you get a knife in the back.

I don't loan money, I give money. That way you never get disappointed. I donate to the Angels whenever I see them online and will help someone if they show a genuine interest in the game, and aren't LOLNOOB BSing around.
Anyone begging hasn't got a chance in hell. Whenever I'm on my IND char, I'll get at least 3 PM's in a few hours from people saying "Hey, give me a mil." or "Can I haz a loan??". Must be the level 90 tag that is attached to my name.
Bottom line, I'll help those who deserve it. I won't help a beggar any more than I would help a panhandler in real life. (Except for the one guy in Tucson, who had a sign that said "Why lie? I need a beer!") Gotta appreciate honesty.
