The Chief Engineer was watching his portable holovideo player when he saw the announcement that Liberty was going to war, he wasn't surprised, after all, most Navy and some LPI personnel were given orders to 'Stand By'.

As he kept tinkering away at the Sentinel 201 Alpha's weapon relays he asked the Sentinel a question.
"Sentinel 201"
"Yes Chief?"
"What is your opinion on this war?"
"I have no opinion, only conclusions"
"They would be?"
"People are just going to die sooner than they're time, *static* And now its playtime! And I'm the mechanical devil! *Error purged*"
"I seriously worry about you sometimes"
"I worry about that zit on your face, Chief"

The Sentinels are being re-tooled for Border Patrols, rather than Core patrols.

Captain Mark Dallas was sitting on his chair on the command deck of the LNS Ithaca while it was moored at Baltimore. A man with black hair comes and tells him the latest news.

Michael: Sir, Liberty is going to war I`ve just.....

Cpt. Mark Dallas: Yes , your right Michael I`ve been watching the news for a while now. Thank you for the message.

Michael : What shall we do ? Shall I tell the rest of the crew to prepare the ship for battle?

Cpt. Mark Dallas: Yes, hmm tell the rest of the crew to mount the newest turrets Liberty has to offer. We need the best ones , Rheinland is a tough opponent. Also tell every single one of them to come on DECK B
we will make a meeting and discuss about everything that needs to be done.

Michael: Roger that sir .

Cpt. Mark Dallas: Alright , your free.

Captain Hull O'Brian was in the Sunbucks on Fort Bush with most of the other off duty , and some on Duty, LPI officers and personnel watching the Holovision speech of the President. War was no longer a shadow in the night stalking the Liberty nation, now it was out in the open and coming at them with guns ablaze.

Hull looked around and wondered how many Officers had reserve Navy commissions and would be called to active duty. Some never to return.

O'Brian pulled out his comm device and placed a call to the SWAT locker and maintenance levels. "Better start handing out over time, we are gonna get real busy real quick."

Jack White sat in his lounge chair (held together by ducktape of course) in his bedrrom on Ouray. He flipped through the channels until he reached the news. He watched the president make his speech.

He yelled back to the kitchen to his droid that he built from spare parts.

"Ey!! A3! Prepare my Eagle and mah Bomber. Pitviper is coming out of retirement!"

"Yes sir" said A3, and headed for the hangar

He stood up and looked at his fellow squadronmates.

*You heared the captain, too you ships*
A moment they looked at Joe and didnt move, still stunned that they were now at war with Rheinalnd.
*This is a squadron scramble, so what are you waiting for a personal invitation from the kanzler?.* he yelled at them for the first time. *move, move, move*

There was a controlled chaos in the corridors of the massive battleship Petersburg, Joe and his squadron were stationed here since a month.
They ran as fast as they could too the hangardeck and went too there bombers.
They just rechieved there new bomber of the upholder class and were eager too test them on a Rheinland battleship wich they often reply too as a flying brick.

Joe strapped into his bomber and saw that his squadron was ready too launch.
*Petersburg CIC.... this is bomber patrol foxtrot were ready too launch* he said in his helmmic.
*Roger that foxtrot patrol...., you have permission too launch.., good hunting out there* came the reply from the CIC officer.

The hangar doors opend and the patrol launched into space.

*Course set too texas and than straight too the border.* he said over the radio too his squadron.

Bering system

Joseph, and the rest of Sirius for that matter, had noticed that tensions between Rheinland and Liberty had grown. But this did not stop him from grinding his teeth as he watched the screen. He turned around to glare out at the rocks that divided the now warring nations. What he saw almost made him fall out of his chair.

As he watched the LNS Atlanta slid by the windows heading to the Hamburg gate.

Throwing his coat on, Joseph yelled to the rest of the bar, "I don't know about the rest of ya but I sure as hell don't want to be stuck in the middle of a war of Oppressors!"

He quickly ran towards the hangers to return to his ship. As he entered the hangar he noticed something interesting. About a dozen men were fervently attempting to hide what looked like containers of fertilizer from Rheinland. The thought then skipped to the back of his mind as he threw himself into the cockpit of his freighter.

"Well, my love its off to Rheinland for us!" , he yelled as he powered up systems.

There was no hailing from the Atlanta, only the silent movement of death as it moved to its next victim in the cold vacuum of space.

It is every citizens right to preserve their morals and their beliefs. However, it is every citizens DUTY to bring about equality.
Capitalism is based around taking advantage of the working class to increase profits. People like you and me are only a dollar sign to them. It is our duty to show these Capitalists what the true meaning of a revolution is, it is not just radicals fighting for change. It is the PEOPLE fighting for what is RIGHT, what is TRUE!

Marxism is the true and right ideal that we should all embrace. Communism is the process in which that ideal is accomplished. The people of Sirius just need pure leaders who will to the end remain incorruptible.
Are you one of those leaders?

LNS Vangard
Texas System, routine patrol.

The Captain squinted at the greenish blip in the distance, refusing to believe what his scanners were telling him. Surely it couldn't be true. The plucky little Gunboat moved closer to confirm the readings.

Soon it was confirmed. A Rhienland Cruiser, large as life, taking on an automated LN Criuser, within spitting distance of Houston.

Knowing he was outgunned, the Captain opened a channel with a sinking feeling in his stomach, and issued a challenge: Leave or face the consequences.

The vessel, identified as the RNC-Lawbringer, promptly answered with a broadside, taking out the Gunboats shields with one shot. The Gunboat returned fire, while the Captain silently wondered if his will was up to date.

The Rheinland Cruiser backed off, and circled for another pass. As it straightened up for a killing shot, the little Gunboat and the Automated Cruiser simultaneously opened fire with every weapon to hand. With his shileds gone, and his hull buckling, the Captain of the Vanguard new it was hopeless. As every system warning light turned red, a sudden blinding light threw everything into a sudden stillness. The Captain stared out at the floating debris of what had only a short moment before been about to destroy him.

Quietly taking back all the doubts he had had about Automated ships, the Captain noticed a number of lifepods floating in space. pulling them in, he was amazed to find a number of LN colleagues, who wasted no time in explaining they had been captured by the Rhienlanders.

Limping back to Houston for repairs, the Captain began his report to the High Command.

//The above actually did just happen. Report submitted on LN secure message board.

I sat and watched the news broadcast from Malta. I sighed and rubbed my hand through my hair. I knew it was coming. Everyone knew it was coming. Since 800 A.S., the communication between the two houses had been breaking down. Whatever happened then, I couldn't say, no one could...well maybe the folks in the Rheinland and Liberty governments, but not me...I wasn't in the loop.

My routes were going to get more hellatious. Passing through two major house systems, both at war with one another, and both on the edge of their reign, facing one another in opposition.

I sighed again. My job just got a lot harder...I boarded my Firefly a few hours later and took off from Malta, heading for Texas. The trip through Rheinland didn't take too long, and a lot of their forces were moblizing quickly. As I passed into Hudson, a Rheinland gunboat followed. It tried to stay to the shadows, and just off my scanner range, but I could still barely pick it up. I continued on, not showing that I saw him.

I passed into Texas, and he followed me in to that system as well...was it already an invasion. Before I could contemplate it completely, a Liberty ship came out of no where and opened fire on the Rheinland gunboat. To my surprise it had prisioners aboard. Soon after the fight was over, the Liberty ship flew back to Houston, venting plasma to space.

So the war really had started...

...wonderful.
