You can hold your own against a single fighter if you run full energy cannons and make judicious use of nuke + CD. You are still massively disadvantaged if you run yourself out of mine or CD ammo, though.

In groupfights you have no chance to fend off enemy fighters these days, now that the SNAC has been nerfed.

Bombers are still good without VHFs to pressure them, but when you enter an enemy snub into the equation they begin to suck really hard really fast.

Yeah the usual tactic was Screamers and a surprise Snack attack if they kept charging without a shield. Now without Snack being able to deliver that instant kill that technique is worthless.

Shame but it makes sense. There can't be one ship class which is good against everything.

On a side note - you don't need bombers to go all pirate on them traders. I've been flying around in a Loki collecting taxes for the Volksrevolution Works just a well and you've got a standing chance against a snub if you're up for a change of scenary. Just sayin'.

Hmm not a bad shout with the right loadout. I'm actually considering using a SHF now for a particular character but a VHF or HF could work under some circumstances.

Yeah I'm thinking that now for one of my chars, a SHF instead of a bomber to give me some wiggle room.

Better start saving up for some ASURAS' then!

That's what I've been saying and people been giving me crap about it.

Personally I am still using the Roc, I like it's agility and since my targets often want to pick a fight, I welcome the maneuverability.
