Treaty of Rishiri - 828 A.S.

1) The Confederacy of Gallia and all its successors* and the Reformed Empire of Kusari and all its successors* hereby accede to an immediate state of peace between signatories and their recognized and contracted entities.
(*All successors will be bound to the Treaty of Rishiri until they forward a wish for renewed negotiations)

a) The Reformed Empire of Kusari and all of its successors will agree to an immediate non-aggression pact with the Confederacy of Gallia and all of its successors for the duration of five (5) years.

b) Reparation Agreement. All signatory parties hereby agree no side may be held in any manner liable for the war, and therefore no further reparations, compensations, adjudications, legal challenges or further measures, unless specified in the treaty, are required.

c) Warship Wrecks will be deconstructed and sorted by Gallic Corporations. The Keiretsu will be permitted to send teams to monitor salvage operations aboard Gallic corporate vessels and stations, they will receive full access to any and all operation being conducted but will not be permitted to use their own vessels within Gallic space. The Reformed Empire of Kusari will be allowed to buy back its salvage for 100% of the current market value at the time.

d) All signatory parties hereby agree to lift all hostile laws against all other signatories and adjust them to reflect a cold neutral stance.

2) The Confederacy of Gallia and all its successors will respect the sovereignty and authority represented by the Reformed Empire of Kusari over the systems of New Tokyo, Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, Tottori, Hokkaido, Saga (Tau-29), Rishiri (Tau-53) and parts of the Tau-31 system (Holman Junction, Trade Lane connections to Tau-23 and Tau-29, the surrounding space up to the "navigational middle" of the system)

3) The Reformed Empire of Kusari and all its successors will respect the sovereignty and authority represented by the Confederacy of Gallia and all its successors over the systems of Ile-de-France, Burgundy, Champagne, Orleanais, Picardy, Provence, Languedoc, Lorraine, Orkney, Roussillon and Zurich.

4) The Confederacy of Gallia and all its successors hereby acknowledge the exclusive claim and exploitation of natural resources by the Reformed Empire of Kusari in the systems of Rishiri and Tau-23 and will resign from exploiting the resources themselves. Resource purchases from the Independent Miner Guild are freely permitted.

5) For the purpose of border protection, the Confederacy of Gallia and all its successor shall maintain patrol rights 15k around the Languedoc Gate in the Tau-23 system. Direct pursuit of criminals coming from within Gallia's borders into the system of Tau-23 is permitted.

6) The Reformed Empire of Kusari and all of its successors acknowledges the Gallic claim on the Roussillon system and shall not hinder operations aimed at the liberation of the system.

7) The Reformed Empire of Kusari and all its successors hereby agree to denounce the criminal acts of Gallic criminal organizations (the Maquis, the Gallic Brigands) and will treat them like an enemy of Kusari.

8) The Confederacy of Gallia and all its successors hereby agree to denounce the criminal acts of Kusarian criminal organizations (the Blood Dragons, the Golden Chrysanthemums) and will treat them like an enemy of Gallia.

Esteemed Minister Toshinori,

I am Antoinette Martin, Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Gallic Union.

For the sake of increasing the speed of salvaging debris left after the conflict between our houses, we wish to hire a third party: ALG, in collaboration with EFL Oil & Machinery to complete the process. In order to permit their involvement in the salvaging process, under the terms of the Treaty of Rishiri, we need the agreement of both signatories, as well as an amendment to the said Treaty.

Under the new terms we have proposed, Gallic and Kusarian ship wreckage shall be salvaged by EFL and ALG respectively. The Gallic Union would like to avoid unnecessary complications caused by handling the defunct technology of House Kusari, hence your corporations will be allowed to transport extracted materials from the base, where the ALG will unload the extracted wreckage for further transportation.

Do you consent to these changes, the involvement of ALG, and the joint contracting with this debris handling company?

Following a rather heated debate within the Cabinet, I am pleased to say that we came to a final statement regarding your proposal.
ALG Waste & Disposal is a trustworthy corporation with a long and clean history of salvage operations throughout Sirius, therefore we have no objections regarding their involvement in the clean-up process.

Your silent adjustments of the treaty have been noticed, however given their comprehension enhancing nature - with no actual content changed - we deem this acceptable as well.

Esteemed Minister Toshinori,

The Great Assembly decided to open a proposal to mutually revoke ban of each other national corporations.

While we realize that not much time has passed since the conflict between our nations, we see no point in continuing to maintain old grudges and disagreements, and are willing to make concessions if you will withdraw from the agreement that you made with Bretonia and Cryter and allow our merchant ships to transit through Tau-53, known to Kusari as Rishiri, and through the rest of Kusari territory.

In return we offer the lifting of the embargo imposed on Kusari merchant ships, as well as border tax exemptions, automatic access to certain licenses such as Military Salvage transportation so that Samura and Kishiro can take part in the wreck cleaning project.

Bonsoir, Mademoiselle Martin.

We appreciate your offer, however as of today, neither the Keiretsu, nor the Finance Ministry or the Ministry of Economy expressed their wish to revoke the trade ban for Gallic corporate vessels.

The Empire of Kusari fully trusts the skills and reliability of ALG Waste & Disposal in regards of the wreck clean-up.
However, we will keep the Gallic Union's desire to revoke the trade ban in mind and may return to it when desired by our economy.
Expect another message on a short-term notice within the next weeks.
