Blunt ran a checkbox in her mind. There were just three boxes to check, so she could. Start talks with Crayter - check. Withdraw from Tau-31 -- satisfactory, she supposed. Only the copy of the treaty remained to be sent, and that wasn't much more than a formality. By the Almighty, how good she was at her job, she thought. Probably the best diplomat alive. Schools, academies, practical experience? Just formalities and myths for those not born competent to live off of, it was Blunt's belief. She looked forward to ending this meeting -- it had indeed been pleasant, but glory awaited her to notify her government of her successes.

"Bretonia has assumed this stance towards Tau-31 because Crayter are our allies. But if Kusari can deal with them, then we will accept what they accept. Thank you for being honest with me, Mr Toshinari, and thank you for this wonderful coffee." How gracious she was, Blunt was proudly sure. She winked flirtatiously to the Kusarian foreign minister because she saw an actress considerably more attractive than her, and in a staged setting, do that with much charm in a political drama film."I must go now to notify the government. Don't forget to send the copy of your treaty with Gallia. You promised!"

Blunt got up and left the wonderful coffee, still half-full, on a nearby cupboard.
