I'm making this record only to show that we are alive. Since I've received command of HMS Tiger, situation calmed down considerably. Vice Admiral's Gaian contact or BAF command haven't reported new sightings of Royalists for weeks. The only notable sighting of royalist forces was in Roussillon witnessed by our Gaian 'friend'. She suspects their base in there, but without any solid information - there is nothing to be done about it right now and Roussillon is beyond our patrol routes anyway. I told her to report this event in detail to Vice Admiral Oliver Myles.
As for our new assignment - we have been attached as semi-autonomous asset of Harlow's battlegroup in Newcastle system. We are based at Scarborough shipyard.
System itself feels calm and sleepy, but I have a strange feeling about restricted other half of the system. While I follow orders to the letter as expected from BAF commanding officer, I do still wonder what's so serious that even auxiliary flag officer like me cannot witness it.
Vessel itself performs admirably. Despite its age and numerous repairs - it's interior is more comfortable than Minotaur's. It's quieter, roomier and have extra amenities like cinema, onboard café for officers and more extensive medical bay.
The only real issue we are faced with is its reliance on H-fuel instead of MOX, which limits our refueling options in Bretonia and also leads to many complaints from my chief officer about more delicate nature of Libertonian powerplant systems.
I feel that Minotaur was more purpose-built warship, while Tiger feels like true mobile base with more amenities and comforts for its crew. I'm not complaining, though. After a long time - I can enjoy daily trips to 'café' without stretching my personal funds too much.
