Ms. Ward,

I hope this finds you well.

It's been some time since my last attempt to contact your office. With the formal end of martial law, and the drastic reshuffling of many of our assets, I feel the need is paramount to inform Crayter directly of changes within the Republic.

To begin, we have reached an agreement with Intersun Lines to see the Republic's capital vessel returned to our administration. While we recognize that the Barcelona was of high importance to Intersun's regional business ventures, the vessel is of far greater importance to the Republic, and with developments made as of late, the ship is needed in an official capacity at the utmost urgency.

Next, as I'm sure the Military has been briefed, the Republic has begun construction of an orbital facility within the Malacca Ring to serve as a port for the Armed Forces' remaining heavy assets, as well as to assist in processing both Lipari hopefuls and to provide the system's settlements with a source of food not subject to Borneo's radical environment. Crayterian vessels naturally have full docking access, and once the station is finished will be permitted to base, supply, and trade with personnel aboard the station. I am aware this matter did not go through standard channels, and the Republic will endeavour to avoid such actions in the future. However, given the Republic's position, we ask that an understanding be had regarding this action.

Finally, as I stated before, the Republic has seen a formal end to martial law, and will begin reinstating democratic processes over the course of the next few months. Further discussions regarding the future of the Republic in its entirety will be made by myself and the remaining secretaries of the late President de la Zerda's cabinet within the coming weeks, and we will endeavour to inform our friends on Yuma of any developments that come forward.

Should you have any questions, Ms. Ward, please do not hesitate to direct them my way. On that note, should you be able to provide clarification into the matters I arose in my previous transmission, I would be grateful if you could do so.

Farewell.

Senora Sabrina Iltzmann,

I thank you for the update on the status of Malta. It is good to hear of your adaption in our home of Tau-44, and look forward to more flourishing news in the future. I can not say the same within our own quorum.

The days are grief and the quorum is split, it all has to do with the militaries incident with the guild over the Nagapasa liner. During the evacuation of freed slaves from Freeport 10 the liner was caught trying to take the slaves into the Gallic Union. Away from the planned course to Yuma and under supposed escort of gallic cruisers. The military maintains custody of the crew with plans to court martial, while representatives within the quorum are calling for a court trail as citizens. The minister of defense claims that only the guild knew of the evacuation for charter of guild assets and sold out the evacuees. Saying they are guilty of compromising the evacuation. Minister Snow is defending the crew but accused only the captain turning against the guild at risk of his crew. The military hasn't released anything, nor say anything on the matter.

Should the Independent Miners Guild come forward and demand for a court trail for the Nagapasa. It might give the public pressure needed to get through and give the crew a chance to walk with their lives. There are innocent guild members amongst the crew, even if the guild at large is still to blame for all of this. It hasn't helped the guilds image after their demands of expulsions from their stations. The opposition are using it as a sign of guilt, and are looking to push for harsher punishment. Which you have found for yourself to have taken effect on the local economic structure in Tau-44. We need this to be pushed forward to clear the mess with the guild. There were those of us who wish this would lighten things up between the republic and the guild, but that is out the window.

In service to the Republic.

Ms. Ward,

It is very good to hear from you after such time, though as I feared the news is as grim as was expected.

For what it's worth, you and yours have my sympathies for the dilemma you are dealing with. Much of my own fresh administration is still reeling from the headache that was the lifting of martial law. None of it was easy, but we do this for the people we serve; For their betterment.

To that end, I'd be interested in knowing the status of the remaining passengers of the vessel involved. Their role in all of this seems greatly muted, and I want to ensure they're well represented here. Should any trial go forward, peers from their pool will be of great value to everyone involved; This, and their safety is of my utmost concern, given the circumstances of their involvement.

While I cannot say that the details of the incident are any that Malta would back entirely, I can say that I do understand Crayter's concerns regarding the issue at hand that day. Know that my administration will be more than happy to back any attempt at ensuring the crew receives a fair and just trial. Should a neutral venue be needed, I would be more than happy to offer the Capitol as an adequate place to host such legal deliberations.
If it may help the case of the ship's crew, I can ask the Foreign Affairs Department to urge the IMG to make such pushes for a civil trial. All that need be done is to ask.

I feel it important to note that my administration will still have a great number of questions regarding this matter. However, these can be addressed in the future, when tensions are less volatile, or the circumstances call for it with greater intensity.

Farewell.

Good day,

My name is Alexander Bayner. Following the adoption of the new constitution and the reconfiguration of the Republic's official accounts, Ms. Iltzmann has asked that my office notify Crayter officially of the changes.

As you can no-doubt tell by this transmission's source, the Republic of Malta is effectively defunct, and in its place we have established the Liparian Republic, named in honor of the home Crayter so graciously provided the nation in its most desperate time of need. While the nation will never forget the past that has lead us to this, we want to ensure that it is known that Lipari has renounced our claims to the Maltese state, and all matters relating to the nation from this point moving forward shall be considered 'Liparian'.

Rest assured that we will continue to ensure close cooperation within the framework of the Crayter Federal Republic, and that Lipari will work to ensure the safety of the Taus against the Outcasts and the spread of cardamine. The leadership is hopeful of the days ahead, and continues to look forward to cooperation with Crayter.
As always, should the Republic have questions, concerns, or inquiries, our doors are always open.

Take care.

Good day,

I hope all has been well on Yuma as of late. Given the recent strain within the Taus, this contact is perhaps quite pertinent.

As you may perhaps be aware, Lipari has begun an effort to try and help stabilize the region and restore some semblance of law and order to the Tau Sector. While I'm certain my contemporaries in Crayter would wish nothing more than to ensure the safety of all who travel through the Taus, I'm also quite aware of the myriad of issues presenting themselves to the Quorum of Ministers, as outlined in the recent past points drawn up in this channel alone. In light of this, it is my hope that Lipari will be able to provide the diplomatic initiative that would be necessary.

Lipari's 'Tau Initiative' would see the three Great Houses of the region (Bretonia, Gallia, and Kusari) alongside Crayter and the IMG come together to discuss, debate, and settle any conflicting territorial and mineral claims, bring an end to the petty skirmishing, and reopen trade to all shipping. I am quite aware that simply bringing all parties together without escalation is a daunting task, let alone bringing each to terms all feel are satisfactory. Despite this, it is my belief that, if there is to be any prosperity within the Taus, it will only come when fighting takes a backseat and lets diplomacy take the helm.

It is my hope that my contemporaries in Crayter are amenable to this effort, if not for the Sector as a whole then for the hundreds of thousands within Tau-44 alone that have suffered greatly from the effects this instability has caused. I am very interested in knowing the Republic's position on this matter, and if there would be any willingness to facilitate or perhaps even directly assist with this effort.
I await your response, Minister.

Take care.

Good day,

I hope all has been well with our friends in Crayter, as recent developments have become quite concerning to both our people and the administration.

To begin, the Armed Forces were blindsided when Battlecruiser Momus began to depart the system for Crayter's territories in the south. This combined with reports of Gallic vessels being spotted in system has caused quite a stir in Lipari, and the Department of Defense has begun debating the implementation of marine security detachments for outbound traffic from Borneo. I've also been told that President Iltzmann has asked the Defense Department to accelerate plans for bringing the Armed Forces' destroyers back to operation.

In addition to this, we've received word from an attache with Greenleaf Transit that spoke of trouble in Coronado. They spoke of lightning, strange energy readings, and a considerable amount of damaged infrastructure, on top of alerts across all comm spectrums. They also noted strong visual readings from the Salina system. Has something happened, and are Yuma and Pecos safe?

Ms. Iltzmann has insisted that contact be made with Crayter regarding these matters, as she feels it is of the utmost concern to the Republic to ensure that all actions that can be taken to mitigate any possible damages are taken. It is my hope to hear from you soon, Minister.

Take care.
