Research Team, '\S/'Arcturus Research Expedition Report on Dark Matter Core from the Uncharted 5 System
Report was compiled on 26 / 02 / 834AS
Since our expedition into Uncharted 5 when we received signals of a new opening within Earhart, Halpert flew his ship, the Pulsar, into what we called Uncharted 5 alongside Bastion's Freighter. Halpert was not able to complete a full report of the system, something of which annoys me greatly, however what did not annoy me was what the two of them had brought back with them. A Dark Matter Core.
The image captured above was generated from all the observation tools on board Starfliers Research Complex. Compiled via combining infrared, magnetic and radioactive sensors to determine the kind of core we have obtained. The size of the core is nothing to take lightly. Weighing in at close to 500 kilograms, it is no small item. Getting this thing off of Bastion's vessel into a containment sector was no easy feat. Partly due to the intake area of our docking sector and our containment sector are located quite far apart.
One element of this Dark Matter Core that we had noticed immediately was something we could not measure, how much power it has contained and how much of it it can output in a single instance. We do not know if this is the kind of item that has a slow burn, akin to a battery powering a small lightbulb, of if it's expelled all at once, like a nuclear bomb. Our testing and observation were limited in order to not trigger any failure or damage to ourselves and our research suite, and by extension the station as a whole.
The Core itself has been on our station for quite some time, enough so where we have noticed a small change in behavior and morale from our own teams. Since the containment sector is located adjacent to our research and development wings, the teams who work in those adjacent wings have been recorded to exhibit less than favorable behavioral tendencies. These select teams have been rotated out, in order to monitor them closely. Once we had done this, after about 8 days, the teams who rotated in started to display the same side-effects. After having three of our teams affected in the exact same way, we have sent them on medical leave to be treated by experts whom aren't located locally.
At this stage, we will forward this Dark Matter Core to the Technocracy of Auxo in order for us to learn more about it through their eyes. We have a plan to upgrade our batter-powered sensors, to remove this battery limitation. However it is difficult when our teams cannot work at their peak to learn more about this. Best to hand it over to them as they are much more technologically advanced than us and can likely give us some answers on what this core is.
Research Team, '\S/' Arcturus-I Research Expedition Report on Unknown wreck within the Ontario
Report was compiled on 01 / 03 / 834AS
A sunny day, at least in our crew. We were following up on a tip from our own Albert McKenzie who was doing some material requisitions in Ontario system and came upon a strange wreck of unknown origins. Looked like a big and quite capable transport ship, so we changed course and went to see what was all that about. We have been thinking about having a refit of our Albatros fleet, maybe upgrading to something more capable and roomy and the design (at first glance ) seemed something noteworthy. Arriving on spot we met up and started the scan process. Albert tried to deploy some drones to enter the ship for a full sweep, but the airlocks were fused shut, so unless we get some Junker crew out here, that's a no go. Our scanners managed to pick up all the dents and scratches and it should turn out quite good.
Our preliminary data suggest ship of quite old design, seems a bit scrappy, but in good condition. We scanned the cargo pods and the ship came back as super efficient transport. Supporting eighteen cargo containers, spread out in a triangular pattern to distribute the weight (we presume) the cargo capacity rounds up to nine thousand units. That's counting the average size of one of the modern containers on a ship like we use now, the Albatross. These containers do seem larger, so maybe our calculations are off. If this is true, this would revolutionize the cargo movement as it is. No guns were mounted (not that we're interested) but four reinforced plates that suggest mount points were noted. We shall keep this new design close to ourselves for now. If project Consolidation moves forward and we wish to update our ship rooster, this design could lead to some interesting possibilities. Judging by the size it might require some training and maybe an increase in average transport crew size, but that's something Albert will have to worry about. Now to get back to SRC and have a long briefing about this data.

Research Team, '\S/' Arcturus-II Research Expedition Report on Derelict Colony Shipwreck within the Omicron Zeta
Report was compiled on 20 / 03 / 834AS
Albert does it again. Not throwing blame, we all need to do our part, but sending us to far reaches of the Omicrons, that's new even for him. This time me and my crew had the target of an old colony ship, Zoner by the preliminary looks of it, really far out in the Omicron Zeta system. We rarely venture so far as those systems are know to be full of squids and we prefer to steer clear, with us not really being able to defend from entities not capable to reason with. First part of our journey out to Delta and Freeport 11 was calm and known to us, we have done that trip quite a few times. hauled a bit of copper to pay for some extra gear we might need, you never know. Last leg was a bit more intense, as it takes you through Tokelau Ice field, known to be patrolled by squids and sometimes even the infected. Met a few of them, but our shields are strong and engines powerful enough to outrun most foes. Zeta thankfully was quite and following the information provided by Albert we found the ship where it was supposed to be.
Our guess was correct, this really was a ruined Zoner colony ship. A truly rare sight to see one of these as they are sent out to only the remote places where colony or freeport building will take a long time and is otherwise unreachable. Greatest interest for us is the hydroponic domes, as they are very rare and well guarded tech by the Zoners. We intend to study and replicate the technology to the best of our capabilities, to integrate it into our base and make it a self sustainable as possible. We have approached the Zoners a few times to negotiate for this tech, with no luck as it is their most guarded secret. But these small scale domes that are fitted to a ship, is exactly what we are looking for. Small, compact and enough to sustain a small group without much extra production. Now the trek back, we'll probably restock on Freeport 11 before heading to SRC to study these new plans in great detail. Hopefully this will put us on the track towards complete independence.

Report: Tau-23 Barrier Asteroid Field -- Crystalline Formations
Preamble 3: Until proven otherwise, all materials are to be treated as Class 2 Volatiles. All analysis will be performed within the materials native environment (analysis methods to be details in a future report). For the purposes of this report, the testing suites will be limited to: Visible & Infrared Spectroscopy (determine which Electromagnetic Radiation bands are emitted), High-Resolution Radar, Laser Spectroscopy (light and energy scattering), Mass Analysis through inertia vectoring, and XRF milli-bursts. All within the local vacuum conditions of the anomalous crystals.
During a recent exploration of the Barrier Field, celestial fragments containing unique geological formations were discovered. Subsequent analysis of the fragment and its associated debris trail revealed a variety of anomalies, suggesting a common origin and potentially offering valuable insights into the history and composition of the Barrier Field. The subsequent exploration of the ‘debris trail’ found 2 previously non-catalogued fragments.
These anomalies include unusual crystalline structures, reactive materials, and anomalous radiation patterns. Further investigation of these anomalies could provide valuable information about the formation of the Barrier Field and the potential existence of other celestial bodies in the region.
Noted below are 5 celestial anomalies of interest:
Fractured Core: A large, fractured core with a glowing blue-purple-teal interior. The missing central sphere suggests a catastrophic event or removal. Previous charted by an Orbital Scan of Tau-23[ref #1]
Split Core: Two halves of a core floating in close proximity. Dark, black crystals protrude from the center of both halves, emitting a deep, dark purple radiation. This anomaly may indicate a process of internal fragmentation or external impact.
Inert Fractured Core: A fractured core that does not emit any light and appears to be composed of the same material as the non-crystalline fragments. The missing central sphere suggests a similar origin to the first core.
Spherical Cone: A jagged, cone-shaped formation with a large red crystalline matter on its exterior. The crystalline material emits a red-yellow light or radiation, indicating a distinct composition and potential energy source.
Auroral Lattice: The most notable discovery is a moon sized crystalline lattice of Rare-Sirian-Metals (SRMs), each make-up emitting ionizing radiation and a peculiar resonance.
Analysis of Fragmentation Scatter:
A detailed analysis of 17 various fragments revealed a diverse range of materials and compositions. While some fragments were consistent with the expected composition of the asteroid field, others exhibited unique properties that aligned with the anomalies of interest. A grouping of these fragments can be chronologically reversed to determine the central gravity point of if and when these fragments and cores were once merged together.
Core Fragments: Several fragments were identified as remnants of planetary cores, likely originating from the same celestial body as the fractured cores. These fragments often exhibited similar materials and internal structures, such as metallic cores and silicate mantles. Crystalline Fragments: A number of fragments were composed primarily of crystalline materials, similar to the red crystalline matter found on the spherical cone. These fragments may have originated from a different celestial body or formed through unique geological processes, such as volcanic activity or hydrothermal alterations. Metallic Fragments: Metallic fragments were also present, suggesting the existence of a metallic core within the original celestial body. These fragments could provide valuable information about the planet's composition, internal structure, and potential for resource extraction.
Hypothesis A: Single Celestial Body Origin Hypothesis: All of the cores and fragments in the asteroid field originated from a single, large celestial body that was subsequently destroyed or fragmented through a catastrophic event.
Supporting Evidence:
Similar Composition: The presence of similar elements and materials in the cores and fragments suggests a common origin.
Fractured Cores: The fractured cores may be remnants of the original body's core, while the smaller fragments could represent its mantle or crust.
Multi-Nodal Geode Planetoid: Reports note a potentially similar composed Goddess Geode located in the Baffin System.
Orbital Dynamics: The distribution of the objects within the asteroid field could be explained by the debris from a single catastrophic event.
If this hypothesis is correct, the asteroid field could provide valuable insights into the composition and internal structure of the original celestial body. Additionally, studying the fragments could help us understand the processes involved in planetary fragmentation and the formation of asteroid fields.
Hypothesis B: Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) as Cataclysmic Trigger Hypothesis: Given Hypothesis A, on a time-scale of millions of years, the hypothesized Planetoid fractured on collision with a celestial body, and soon (on the geological timeline) exposed to a massive Coronal Ejection event. The ejected Hydrogen caused the chain-reaction, which continued, and continued until all released hydrogen was spent (average ejection event is 1.6 x 10^12 kg) resulting in the complete fragmentation of the planetoid.
Supporting Evidence:
Crystal Positioning: The host fragments have the crystalline metals facing away from the central solar.
Non-reactivity in Vacuum: Reactions are not observed when exposed to vacuum. Requiring an excitable element for catalyst.
UV Sensitive: The fluctuating UV radiation from the system's solar introduces wave-like patterns in the crystalline energy levels.
If this hypothesis is correct, containment of the crystalline lattices may be possible given a non-reactive environment, and help identify safer analysis. Note that complete gravitational vectoring will help determine if a 2nd object collided with this crystalline planetoid, or if another Hypothesis is warranted.
Recommendations: Pressurized sections of inert gases such as Argon or Helium, with double vacuum barriers between sections. Usage non-UV light sources, or low-energy laser bursting. Appendix A Potential Elemental Composition of the Cores
Based on the crystal formations and radiation emitted, proposed below are elemental compositions for the cores.
Core 1: Fractured Core with Blue-Purple-Teal Glow
Possible Elements: Rare Sirian Elements (RSE), such as Europium, gadolinium, or terbium. These elements are known for their luminescent properties and can produce a variety of colors when excited.
Crystal Formation: The blue-purple-teal glow could be indicative of crystals containing RSE ions within their lattice structure.
Core 2: Split Core with Black Crystals and Dark Purple Radiation
Possible Elements: Iron, cobalt, nickel, or manganese. These elements can form dark-colored crystals and are often associated with magnetic properties.
Crystal Formation: The dark purple radiation might be due to the presence of magnetic domains within the black crystals, which can emit electromagnetic radiation when disturbed.
Core 3: Dark Fractured Core
Possible Elements: Carbon, silicon, or other common elements found in planetary cores. The lack of visible radiation suggests a less reactive or crystalline composition.
Inert Core: Detailed scans show no presence of RSEs despite its similarities to Core sample 1. Hypothesis is the lattice structure was made of readily volatile isotopes, allowing the lattice to radiate away many millions of years ago.
Spherical Cone with Red Crystalline Matter
Sampled Elements: Lithium, rubidium, or cesium. These elements are highly reactive and can form compounds with oxygen and other elements that exhibit red or orange colors.
Crystal Formation: The red crystalline matter could be composed of oxides or salts of these elements.
Auroral Crystal Fragment
Given the unique rainbow crystal formation and its ability to emit red, green, yellow, light purple, and teal radiation, it is likely composed of a combination of rare sirian elements (RSEs) and transition metals.
During the sampling period, the crystal's radiation created a resonance with the spaceship hull suggesting a potential interaction between the crystal's electromagnetic field and the hull's material composition. It also created a pleasing audible tonal vibrations, which made the long collection process quite enjoyable.
Expedition Report on the Instable Jump Hole Connection between Dublin and Omega-48 Completed by Vanesca Catallia, '\S/'CEV-Mirrodin
Dated the 17 / 02 / 835 AS
I have started this whole journey not in Dublin but in an back-alley of Planet New London, retrieving an outdated rough map of the Dublin System that I have something to start with before I go in there. Similar to the scarlet heart of Bretonia, Dublin against all expectations is also red and full of rocks. The asteroid fields are dense, those with miliary obstruction means within are even more dangerous. Luckily the topic of this report is located in the southern sector of G7, inside the "newer" Inishmore Asteroid Field. The quote marks belong there as older maps such as the one I've now in my on board folder shows that this field wasn't in Dublin in the past. Considering the few particles of unpolished raw gold trying to find way in between hull panels of my Draugr it's to assume that this likely formed from mining endeavours. Well this clean up I'll leave to a crew elsewhere, I'd rather not have those particles jam any on board readings in the future.
Dublin Side - Instable Jump Hole to Omega-48
There is a small clearing right around the Instable. Typical tension phenomena are within the visual spectrum in space such as all the light particles, some of which even form shapes reminiscent of lighting. Before attempting to jump into Omega-48 I checked all on board systems. Well I should have turned on the tint of the cockpit panels. The reason is shown in the Alegranza Cloud on the other side.
Omega-48 Side - Unstable Jump Hole to Dublin
A flash of light, dear god it's so bright...
Now the interesting points start arise within Omega-48, you end up in Sector C6. In the past the Connector to Omega-5 used to be here, however that shifted to Sector D2 within the Melilla Debris Field in Omega-48. Comparing older data sheets shows that within D2 wasn't much prior. Yet if we travel back to Dublin there used to be 4 different collapsed Connections, two of which within the Hood Asteroid Field and two Arranmore Asteroid Field. One of the prior collapsed Jumpholes within the Arranmore Asteroid Field, namely the one that used to be located at the Border of Sector C5/6 isn't where it was if we cross check older data. I could theorise about the collapsed point moving and turning into the unstable towards Omega-48, hence "pushing" the stable connection from Omega-48 to Omega-5 away into where it is now. One researcher alone isn't enough to create a solid foundation for mere theory crafting to why and how it could have happened, at least not right now. The Draugr being a freighter class isn't perfectly suited to grasp every detail and I can't run too many simulations on my board system, so that will have to be postponed to when I am back on the Sol.
Another theory could be that the sheer "mass" the Dublin System embodies with all its asteroid fields, some of which containing rare metals, "longs" in some sense to being more connected yet said mass also results in Jump Hole collapse due to the other system being unable "to balance the weight". New London having so much debris and Asteroids seems to be able to hold the connection up.
Alas to get back to more solid data; neither side of this unstable tunnel between the systems has direct hazardous features, there is no radiation outside of the light from Omega-48's star of medium red-class being so highly dispersed and reflected that it's just so... blinding. Tint your cockpit panels or wear protective eyewear... and maybe use sunscreen on your skin if you're one of those that operate your vessel top-less.
A final reminder; this is a new unstable connection, try to keep your total ship mass below the general advised limit to ensure the least shaky traversal from one side to the other.
Expedition Report on the Dallas Epicenter Incident Completed by Vanesca Catallia, '\S/'CEV-Mirrodin
Dated the 21 / 02 / 835 AS
Between the debris within Texas you'll find a structure resembling a broken Jump Gate, this thing is called the "Dallas Incident Epicenter".
It's a flashy name for sure, alright let's get this sorted out to have it make sense; why am I writing this? Cause I got a ping from the Sol with "Hey, I've seen you're in Texas so give this thing a little attention. Good Luck!". So here we are.
Pictures taken via a Zoom Lens of my guncam, my Draugr would not survive being that close
This gate structure still exerts to this day a lot of radiation with a slight gravitational force similar to that of a closed jump hole. Get too near and it will attempt to stretch your vessel apart. Even a standard ship navigation system will warn you in current day Sirius to not go near this thing.
So why is this here and what is it?
Let's turn the wheel of time backwards, like 314 years back if my memory serves me well. No I am not that old, I've read records on the structure due to this task. In the year of 521 Ageira had quite a presence in Texas, back then when it was still not a junk-yard. The system was used by the megacorp to test and study jump-technologies for the House of Liberty. They had an installation nearby of which parts of the leftovers can still be found to this day, even if the technology is out-dated it surely would serve someone if salvaged and retrofitted correctly. The incident occurred due to some "malfunction" of the gate itself, one can speculate the reason was to create a jump connection between California and Texas, however I doubt that personally and I will elaborate on that in a moment. Said technical issue shook the system and is the cause of the dark matter clouds which for some reason were named in hispanic fashion as Pequena Negra and Grande Negra respectively is translated to "Little Black" and "Large Black".
The debris fields were also born on that fateful day, being part of the gate structure, the surrounding support units and the research project and it's Research Station Dalls that belonged to the test. After the incident the megacorp mostly left the system and Liberty had likely to deal with other issues as well, leading into the neglected mess it is today. You're also able to find parts of a capital vessel formerly also known as the Dallas within the debris. I will give an honourable mention to Universal Shipping as they were part of the supply chain both in parts and funds for this project.
Let's play with the hourglass yet again looking a bit into the future from this malfunction into that what was in Alberta. Ageira along with Deep Space Engineering worked in this system while having "learned" from the previous blunder. A gate structure that should still be in the abandoned system. While I've never seen it myself there is something I've found that will be a placeholder to have some sort of footage for the topic.
"The Placeholder"
I know that Alberta is a entirely new topic on it's own yet the Dallas Incident is connected to it due to the learning curve of Liberty's Corporations. An experiment that went wrong and resulted in casualties yet and experience made to know how to construct safe gate-structures for the future in which we life today.
This sums the topic up in terms of what I was able to dig up and find out. Almost everything around this is classified and not known to the historians aside from what I mentioned and maybe some higher up within the Liberty Government or Ageira could disclose the needed bits for the malfunction but I highly doubt this will ever happen.
Expedition Report on the Caminha Comet Completed by Vanesca Catallia, '\S/'CEV-Mirrodin
Dated the 04 / 04 / 835 AS
As I am writing this the comet is currently passing by Coronado. Slowly moving it's way towards a possible next destination. Caminha is located at the estimate of "-12707 1718 -15438".
Guncam Pictures showing the comet in different angles.
Currently the comet holds an estimate size of a standard space installation or roughly 2 "Hegemon"-Class Asteroid Miners stacked on top of each other in dimension. Sadly I can't get near due to the gravitation drag, it would trap my ship if not ripping it apart in it's orbit.
The outer crust seems to be very dense and hardened from the previous voyage, making it appear like many other asteroids. The trail and dust surrounding it leaves the impression of possible valuable minerals beneath the surface, possible of crystalline nature due to the light reflection aspect of the dust.
Guncam Picture showing the "trail" or dust "aura" it drags with it.
My scanners do not show any direct radiation from the outside which is rather strange, I assume the crust works like a hull keeping inert energy within.
Vice versa keeping inert energy hidden also keeps external energy out, whatever that thing consists of the outer crust will be valuable for a new type of ship plating or energy deflector.
I will use my tractor beam to collect some "atmospheric dust" to bring back to the Sol. This way our geologists can look into it.

Entry point for this Expedition showing the unresponsive Transport.
Visibility within the field is wavering between clear and highly limited. No visual guncam pictures taken.
Outdated Files recorded that the Smokey Hill Dark Matter Nebula was originally not inside the Overland Park Asteroid Field. The reasons for the merge are unclear.
The collapsed Jump Hole signature seemed to be connected to the System of Texas in the past.
The Asteroid Field itself shows no signs of mineral value at the moment, with the looming Dark Matter mass it's not a safe place to be. Exploration is not advised without using a ship in best condition.
Additional Comment:
Liberty claims the entirety of Kansas but Kansas is an empty mess littered with the remainders of past conflicts. The Overland Park Asteroid Field due to it's Dark Matter resident offers a good trait in it's trait of disabling scanners. If you're running away this would be a good place to attempt to loose whoever attempts to follow you.

Guncam shows Fort Riley and it's surrounding Wrecks.
The spacing between ice chunks is reasonable with medium to large ships making navigation passable compared to more dense fields such as what the Tau's have to offer.
While scouring through older records it appears that the asteroid field within the "Turtle Creek Nebula" also used to be named "Arkansas Ice Asteroid Field" ; this hints to two possible reasons;
One - In the past the Arkansas Ice Field used to envelop the whole of Kansas, then slowly splitting in smaller chunks until only the southern half seems to bear resemblance with what it used to be.
Two - It was an oversight from past researchers, likely with scanners being blocked with ice material from "Arkansas Ice Field" to give the same reading within "Turtle Creek".
Looking at Pennsylvania's southern region theory one can make sense but the same applies for theory two if one looks towards other neighbouring systems.
With all the war remains this place would be a feast for scrapers. Not only shipwrecks in variations but also two station wrecks. Who knows what a skilled team could pull off - Maybe a Salvager Frigatte in the size of a Dreadnaught? Who knows.
