Dear Mr. Trebitti,

It is with regret that I am hereby tendering my resignation as Chief Operations Officer forthwith. I am overextended in my supply chain as we seem to be going through more maintenance materials lately for some reason. I need more time to attend to family matters and in my advancing years I would like to reduce the amount of paper pushing and day to day stress I am currently enduring. I believe that Mr. Rene Laurent, current administrator of the Elcano Complex project would make an excellent replacement for this position. I will leave this decision up to you and the Board of Directors as to whom you ultimately promote to this role. I have enjoyed my time here and would like to donate my shares in the company back into the business. As always, Owens bases will remain open to all NHI and Corsair vessels for trade.

Here is a short interim report of the complex:

First we would have the Elcano Complex:

All factories were running at 100 percent until recently, but as we are currently doing redesign work, we are preparing everything so that later repair work can be completed more quickly.
Furthermore, after this small "project" is completed, we will rebuild 2 more areas of the station to get additional storage space to better supply the factories, as well as to be able to store and sell various ores from neighboring systems. When this construction work is also completed, we will ramp up the production of the factories again in order to be able to manufacture more devices.

Now we come to the Storage Appendix of Elcano:

Only one factory is running there at the moment, since some devices are not in demand at the moment, and to avoid unnecessary losses, the factory was shut down first and the workers were transferred to the other factory to optimize production (quality).
Regrettably, however, I had to realize that our storage capacities are exhausted and we cannot store larger quantities of production goods to keep the factories producing smoothly.
This would be possible through an additional expansion of the appendix.

Another problem is the limited access to larger freighters, which unfortunately does not allow us to transport larger quantities of goods.
I asked around in Sirius and found out that there is a Barge that can transport larger amounts of goods.
We could move our storage appendix from Elcano to this Barge. I'll ask around during the week and see if I'm able to organize blueprints so we can move the attachment to the barge.
If successful, we can dock the barge below Elcano.
Later, when we have trained one to two pilots specialized in the barge (Only on trade routes in Liberty, Rhineland and Bretonnia space, since we do not operate in independent frontier worlds), we can supply our complex even more efficiently and independently from other companies , which saves us a lot of credits in the production of the devices in the long run.

And a quick word on her resignation Mr.Owens:
Of course, it's always a shame to see people resign for a variety of reasons.
And as you get older, you naturally want less stress, which is a shame.
And I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the nomination for your position.
But that decision rests with Mr. Trebitti.

I have heard that a Barge can do wonders in supplying a base from our acquaintances at the Omicrons, who have acquired one of their own and use it to transport goods and supplies between their chain of bases. If you manage to get us a permit to use a Barge, that'd be fantastic.

Also, as per Buck's recommendation, I think there's no one better fitting the role of Chief Operations Officer than yourself, Mr. Laurent. As such, I hereby offer you a promotion to COO of New Horizon Industries. Should you accept, you'll be responsible to see to it that all NHI bases have enough supplies, and that our trade operations run smoothly.

The construction work on the Elcano complex has been completed and we can now prepare for the final project (for now).
The extension of the storage rooms completes all conversion work on the complex.

The Storage Appendix of Elcano is unchanged at the moment, only that we have also stopped production for the time being.
I'll get to the reasons in a moment.

For that I have to make a brief digression on the promotion.
First of all, I would like to thank you, Mr. Trebitti, for considering promoting me to COO of NHI.
I will gratefully accept the promotion and I hope to live up to and satisfy this position.

I see that you are interested in the base of MFN in the Frankfurt system.
If we can win this deal, we could move one or two factories to this station, since the goods needed for the special devices are closer, and we could thus increase production, which in turn would give us more storage capacity for the Elcano complex enabled, and we are able to store and sell more of the different minable goods.
In addition, there is the possibility of working with local companies in the Frankfurt system in order to be able to include aluminum ore in our range.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find out more about the barge, but as soon as I have more information, I will inform you immediately.

Thank you for your report, Monsieur Laurent.

As for MFN, our main interest is indeed adding Aluminum to our variety of products available throughout the supply chain.
Moving factories there sounds like an interesting idea, although it's a bit far from our main factory - that's being the Elcano complex. Nevertheless, I have full trust in your logistical skills to maintain both a factory and enough storage space aboard the MFN base for this plan to work out. All we need now is for the deal to be sealed. Let's hope for the best.

Hello everyone,

I have recently visited the Uncharted Systems. I jumped to a weird looking system, rocks everywhere, I will not lie to you, I thought I got lost and that is where my end will be at... But I stumbled across an area that contained crystals different than everything else around me. Luckly I had my mining laser mounted and I managed to fill my cargo with these crystals. I dropped them on Konpeki. I have also attached the delivery report below.

I was truely mortified by what I saw there, but now, that I returned, I itch to go back there and explore more. I think I might do just that sometime in the future.

Hello everyone,

As reported before, I simply could not go back to supplying as nothing happened... I did a couple of supply runs, but afterwards I jumped in my Draugr and I went straight for that chaotic Earhart system. There were 2 Unstable Jump Holes, so firstly I went back to what I knew and mined some more Cerulite Crystals. I brougt them back to Konpeki and then returned to see what's behind the other Jump Hole. It was another ... interesting looking system. There was something like a plasma all around, but my ship was not affected... While exploring the new system, I saw a nomad looking complex of structures. I approached it to take a closer look and I found that one of these structures was damaged. And what do you know, some other different commodity was prime for being mined. Therefore, I topped my cargo bay with this... Organic Capacitors they are called apparently. I also delivered them to Konpeki. I attached the delivery reports below.

Hello everyone,

I had to take a break. I also have a family to look after. But I just could not hold myself for long. So I went again there. And what do you think? Yet another strange reading on my radar, another Uncharted system. This time, it was an icy looking one. Flew around it for a bit. There are even 3 planets there, but there is no way to land on them. While I was thinking of giving up, I found some snow-flake looking things... Tried to mine them and brought some on Konpeki to look at yourselves. They are called "Cryo-Organisms", it seems.
