That's the problem. It has nothing to do with intuition but of logic. If you're having a hard time grasping the concept of this functionality, you don't have to use it but keep your prices the same. Everybody else who owns and operates POBs seem to enjoy this new functionality and would like it implemented. I'm not understanding the resistance you are having with this.

I understand this feature perfectly fine. I made an exaggerated example to show how normal people will encounter this feature.

It's unintuitive to need a command to see the right price. Freelancer is just not made for this.

Do the refinery thing for ore, crafting for weaponry and there we have some sense of this without breaking the general flow of things.

Freelancer WAS made for this to some degree, as Zentor has shown. It works, it progresses the POB experience. Having to type one code to see the sell price should not be that hard for people. If it is, I question whether or not they should be playing this mod to begin with. And, if a POB owner wants to game the system somehow, we people of the economy will make note of this and no longer buy/sell to this person.

Here are my two cents,

I always dreamt of a feature like that, simply because it is epic. I disagree with Skorak totally about this idea, and I think that players should learn to read notes and check first before performing uncalculated actions. Also, I would like to add that every business/Ores/fabrication/trading POB will gain from this feature a lot of fun because they will be able to organize some proper sell/buy prices using a logical system. The idea of changing the base settings from sell to buy after it gets empty or setting it from buy to sell when it gets full manually is really awful... Anyway, no idea will gain 100% satisfaction from the entire community. So some will still find it not useful from their point of view.

Keep up the good work going forward @Zentor ... we didn't have a proper edit to the POB systems for ages.
If this gets implemented, then I think i will have to sit down for like 2 hours fixing my POB (NSE) prices and everything Smile
I definitely voted yes and would love to see more edits coming... "refineries, shipyards, biodomes, etc.." Smile

I agree with Skorak. And as evident here, all you'll see is PoB owners agreeing with you on this because, it will make them easier money. Who knows if they might even ask people to vote yes for them?

Who cares?
It advantages far more than POB owners. Have you ever landed on a "mining" POB and it won't sell to you bc the owner isn't on 24/7 to switch it between buy and sell "mode"? (Did you know real businesses buy low and sell for more? To cover them and their employees labours, upkeep of facilities, etc? And every once in a while, customers are inconvenienced enough to have to ask a clerk what a price is??)

Besides this, this kind of feature makes bases more in line with a realistic use case. Not only does it apply to ores, but also to the thematically chosen ingame commodities that are part of players RP, deals made, equipment exchanges, codenames etc. Across the board it is a useful tool, and only has tiny imperfections for folks that haven't looked at the information provided them, of which I'm more than willing to personally compensate, since the benefits as an economic driver far out-weight the potential for being slighted by a nasty pob Owner.

Its a win-win-win, and one that will provide far more potential for benefit then damage. Why should base owners have to hawk over the half implemented base system to constantly switch it back and forth between buying/selling modes or otherwise just accept it as a net loss (and eventually abandon their base due to disappointment, leading to more "eyesore" decarying bases)?

Some of you are seriously out of touch with what people want - I'm a PoB and ore noob. In fact I don't trade ores at all because it's become very frustrating to find filled PoBs, and is the number one problem currently and a huge barrier to entry for ore trading - people like me just gave up. I just want to go to point A to Point B, hit waypoints, buy and sell stuff.

Way more people, drastically more people haul than fill PoBs - or would, if they were filled - this will be a godsend to the game - the annoying swap price mechanic buy mode and sell mode will be gone and PoBs will be incentivised to sell ores and the number one problem currently for solo ore hauling - empty PoBs will get a boost

I won't use this thing as PoB owner - I'm just very frustrated at unfilled PoBs and I am not the only one, this seems like a total no brainer to implement to me - who cares PoB owners will have an easier time ? The people that mine to fill PoBs besides maybe Penns know what they are doing.
