We are all human beings that play different factions. One would do well to remember that X faction does not entitle Y faction to ignore server rules, simply because X faction exists.
Even Nomads are not exempt from fairplay, so why is it we should expect to mediate fairplay on our enemies and be given none ourselves?
This is my last post on this feedback thread, because I am not part of Order or Eclipse Vanguard BUT was involved in the incident:
- No Video recording was submitted to provide evidence of said "Gank"
- No DSACE timestamp was submitted to provide evidence of said "Gank" - If 1 CD was shot, neither Core or Nomad would be able to cloak that fast (check timestamps for cloak messages). On the contrary, DSACE timestamp - engagement lines to cloak message shows that NO ORDER SHIP ENGAGED!
- As no shot nor CD was used and only the internal group chat signaled "combat" without any actual combat happening involving Order VS Nomads VS Core, you can cry all you want
Also:
1.1 Nomads are the faction that inRP want to eradicate all others (except Wild), so you expecting other people to watch you, outside Connecticut, duel 1v1 any human faction or your own without gunning you down is something out of this world!
1.2 You want 1v1 Nomad vs Whatever flies your boat > Connecticut
1.3 You show up on scanner outside Connecticut and people are not Wild / Nomads > Expect either them to flee or a Clusterfuck up your ass! See Point 1.1.
Also: 2 Order ships undocked and found 2 enemy ships on scanner (Nomad and Core). Order can engage - 2v2, 1v1. No gank involved. Player chat showed multiple enemy ships in the same group in the same system. A 3rd Order ship undocked and got within scanner range of the Nomad / Core combatants.
This would sum it up.
Hey, so the other day, I fought one of your guys in Earhart.
Your player proceeded to do nothing except for running in circles constantly and bumping their way around a Phoenix Barge for 20 minutes straight during a 1v1.
No offense, but please fight like normal people next time. This is really uncool.
Hi Geno, thanks for reaching us, its unfortunate that the "encounter" with one of our member wasn't enjoyable for you, BUT i wanted to clear something because i reviewed the encounter through the DSAce and i got a bit confused on some of your statements :
- You mentionned that Our EV member trespassed a "Zone-21", OORP speaking, is it related to Alaska ? And how did you get to know that our member trespassed it? using the Y tab or a discord Player Tracker isn't valid InRP and is borderline "Metagaming", if you saw him on the spot at Alaska system while you were also in, in that case, this is valid to start a chase.
- You went as a Lone Liberty Ship to engage a Vessel wich was part of a mining operation on Earhart, OORP speaking, Order and Phoenix are allies and helping each other out, so if you decide to engage an operation wich multiple vessels are involved, its at your own risk and don't expect to get a fair fight (of course staying within the rules to prevent any form of "ganking" situation)
during the encounter, our member got the green light to flight around the barge as cover because you could be a threat for the Zoners, imagine if you took down our member, knowing in general the RP situation between Liberty lawful and Zoners, its not bright.
I believe the situation could have been handled differently with a more peacefull outcome.
It is perfectly reasonable for an LSF ship to assume that the only way to enter Earhart is via the Alaska passage, unless you expect them to metagame knowledge about Thuringia and co. Even if there was something faulty, two negatives don't make a positive. A player shieldrunning around a barge for twenty minutes is essentially nothing but wasting the time of the player that dared to interact with your player. Unless you want to be known for wasting other people's time, that is something that shouldn't get repeated. Please consider that in future.
