Commander,
I am Riko Ose, 66th joint command, writing from the bridge of the Infinity. It's day zero.
If there were a dire national emergency that would cause further delays, I've no doubt we would have noticed already, so I am considering this operation a go. We have decided on an itinerary that avoids any foreign sovereign territory altogether, Bretonian or otherwise, using hyperspace tunneling. After all, the application thereof is one of the primary purposes of the project in the first place. And while the expedition isn't exactly clandestine, we don't want to blatantly advertise it, either. We have made arrangements with the Independent Miners Guild, who are willing to assist us locally.
The excitement of the crew lingers in the air like static, and I admit my own hands are shaking as I write this. We are prepared to mark this as a historic day!
P.S.: There is no formalized license for exemption of a ship of this type from codex IV-4. I'm not sure if this would ever be relevant since the 66th is a naval joint venture, but in case an overeager police officer ever browses the forms, it would be helpful if you could make an entry for the Infinity (and its cloaking device).
