EDIT: It doesn't matter to lolpirates WHO is mining, they just flock to wherever there's a big group of people because it requires minimal effort to pirate them. C'mon now, effort is for nubs
the field has been fixed.
Quote:In my opinion, I think IMG would be more likely to side with Outcasts, as they're friendly to Mollies and Hessians, as well as neutral to Lane Hackers and Rogues.
what with the outcasts attacking their bases? and the outcasts will never stop because the IMG is messing with the orange dream.
EDIT: i am a molly.

Omega-49 needs to have its Corsair population severely cut. A few patrols in a few places. Lets not forget Hessians control the part of Omega-47 that contains the Omega-49 jump hole. If a hundred Corsairs are entering Omega-49 an hour Hessians would easily notice and attack them..
Beef up the number of Zoner patrols.
Take away the news/rumors of Zoners hiring Corsairs to defend Omega-49 or add new ones to state the Zoners have ended their dealings with the Corsairs regarding Omega-49. (Why exactly are we paying them to defend Omega-49? We're neutral to everyone save Nomads, Corsair's presence simply causes more problems.)
Add Hessian patrols near the Omega-47 hole and within the cloud it hides behind. Add Molly patrols to the Dublin hole and the field it's behind. Corsair patrols around the Omega-50 hold and 30K around. Rare patrols of the three pirate faction patrols near Planet GC. Sizable (yet smaller than Zoner) BHG NPC patrols near Lanzarote and Planet GC.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
I haven't made my way over to Omega-49 yet but after reading this thread so far looks like this little Algeria employee needs to stay far away from it!
What are 'lolpirates'?
I personally think that having corsairs in a 'mining system' is a bad idea even if the Zoners were/are hiring them.

They are worth $1,000,000 USD if you find someone willing to do such a trade.
Why So SIRIUS?...(Give credit to my brother for this one XD)
Lo and behold! Our dear Tenacity will return in 20days!
Amen on the "mechanics" suggestion, Dab. To be fair to the corsairs, I'd give the 'sairs patrols extending between the 47 and 50 holes.. They do need assured access to Mindelo.
As to contracts, in the roleplay sense, maybe they just need to be "reviewed" and rebid occassionally. On the gripping hand, maybe Zoners are ready to take the responsibility of securing 49 themselves.
And my apologies for leaving the Mollys out of the original equation. "You" apparantly have a stake too, now.
The Mollies were added because of the entrance into Dublin. Since Mollies control the section of Dublin that the jump hole to 49 is located in, they have a vested interest in keeping that hole secure. It'd also help stop the Corsairs from bringing in ships and supplies to Dublin from Omega-49, since the two are fighting over the system.
That was my reasoning for their existence. However, more than 15km from the Dublin JH and Molly patrols would be rare.
Now, I ordered my guys (The Brotherhood) to mess with miners out in 49 a little while back. Why? Good question, I wanted to start an rp discussion on the rp of O49.
Dab, I dont like this whole idea of just changing history that we dont like. Clearly there Corsairs have a role in 49, and just deciding that it's easier for the Zoners if they werent there, is not a reason to change the infocards. There is a huge Corsair population on Canaria, and I dont mean Corsairs who decided to become Zoners, or lulsairs Mal, I mean Corsairs with a capital "C." The whole notion of just wiping that out offends me. One little musing I had, one of those, "wouldnt that be cool" moments, came to me while flying in Gallia, (awful place it is) They have a planet out there that has two different docking rings and mooring fixtures. Gran Canaria has two very different populations living on it, your peace love and such Zoners, and a bit more aggressive, punchy like Corsairs. What if each of these populations had their own ring. It would make the touchy diplomacy between the Zoners and the Corsairs that much more fun.... See if you get rid of the Corsairs in 49, you get rid of all the things that go along with that, like the protection of Freeport's in Corsair space. So without the Corsairs in 49, the only thing keeping the Corsairs from destroying every Zoner ship and Freeport in sight is food, and the Corsairs can in fact get food from other places, so it would only be a matter of time before Freeport 5 and 9 were gone and 11 under siege. The RP of Canaria is one of the things that keeps the balance, remove Corsairs from 49 and the balance goes all wobbly. I think the answer may in fact be in forcing us to figure out our relations.
Agreed Dabs comments below. There is no need for the Zoners to publicly hire the Corsairs.
