Well, with the pirate situation with Somalia right now, I would not be too surprised. Sure, they might not use a cruise missile or send a F-16 to take you out, but 4 SEAL snipers on board might do the trick...

In addition, no offense to either of you, but would you be happen to be this group of people?

Because, regardless of whether or not you are, this might be the reason why you're having a tough time lately. Now, also, realize that New York is the busiest, and one of the most important systems in Liberty space. It also happens to be the capitol of the house.

Don't be surprised if the Libertonians use excessive force when dealing with you.

Quote:The lawfuls. They are capital ship abusers. There really needs to be a rule about all this,

seriously. My idea is that In lawful vs. unlawful fights, lawfuls cannot use any capital ship higher than the

Liberty Cruiser.
You mentioned the word "abuse." If a rule was broken, report it. If not, they there really was no "abuse." Sure, someone's RP may be more lacking than your's, but that doesn't give you a right to tell that someone to bugger off.

Remember, think about the traders that you folks tap for funds. They feel just as bad as you do.

The LPI. They fly light fighters and bombers. When I say light fighters, I mean they use patriots to start with.

The [LN] well... The entire [LN] knows what I'll do to them if they overkill folks.

The =LSF=. I don't think I've seen an LSF cap at any point in the last 7 months.
I didn't say all. but also then how come I see LPI gunboats and some LPI Eagles?

Yeah, but haven't ya noticed to sudden influx of LN caps, hard not to, I mean just today we faced a 2 caps, a GB and a bomber. Then guess what... A Carrier shows up...

And elgato, no we ain't that group of people, we try to give some RP before attacking, more than most of these capships do... As slicey said they just scream ENAGING PIRATES and attack, if you're fighting someone they dont even do that, they just start shooting.

Alright, now, no one's job is harder than anyone else's here, because this ain't a job. If you don't like how someone plays, don't fight them. Simple as. I know it's harder done than said, but, if you don't want to counter them, don't fight them. The people will notice there is no one around to play with them, they'll recognize they've done something wrong. If you can't do that, go somewhere else. It's not that hard...

Nah that wasn't us. But also. I think the Traders know that they will get tapped for cash and it's complete RP. It's what all pirates do right?

High ranked LPI in the official faction get eagles. As far as I know, there is -one- gunboat in the official LPI faction.

In direct responce to the above post. Traders may well know they get tapped for cash, but pirates also know they are chased out by lawfuls.

I do try my utmost to keep things fun and reasonably fair in liberty, but there is only so much I can do. Frankly, when my efforts to do that are responded to by a group of six gunboats roaring round liberty while the lawful forces are off elsewhere in a planned event, overkilling an absurd degree themselves, it does make me extremely hesitant to take this kind of criticism seriously.

If people are going to ask for fair play, then I would at least expect an effort at returning the favour. Or... preferably, taking the first step as I tried a few months ago (only to discover that I got repeatedly gunboat-raped while flying my guardian for the next couple of weeks).

It isn't as easy as "not engaging" considering THEY engage first... Read it properly thanks...

And yeah, JihadJoe, we know the LPI don't use gunboats, but it isn't the LPI in particular we are talking about... It's more the LN.

The 'problem' if you could call it that is not just with the Liberty Navy, but also with in the Outcast/Liberty Rogues/Lane Hackers/Indie Pirates.

If you're prancing around NY in your Gunboat shooting anything that moves and pirating traders willy nilly EXPECT THE LIBERTY NAVY TO RESPOND

And I say this as a person who is a fanatic Liberty Rogue. Pirates should not be making a fuss and attracting lawful attention, you should be hiding in the shadows, pouncing on traders, then slinking back into the darkness before the Police catch a wiff of your scent.

It is fully with in the Roleplay of the Liberty Navy to kill you off. Fairplay it is not, but then how is 6 unlawful Gunboats and a Barghest vs 1 fighter fair either?

You reap what you sow.

You have a good point but 6 GB's and a barghest vs 1 fighter never happens.

You're speaking about us like we have access to BATTLESHIP class vehicles... And you couldn't be more off! Furthermore, it's not like we run right into manhattan orbit and draw attention to ourselves, we pirate a guy, move off and wait for the heat to die down (usually) then head back...
