For the lack of a better place to post the update, the CNS subforum has had its permissions updated so anyone can post replies there. That means you can now roleplay responses to articles.
Horizons have been added to the config after demonstrating rp around passenger transport and reaching out to the relevant governments.
Please note that while this opens things up to any freelancer id, only Horzions will be able to claim the engine effects reward with their scored points.

As of next server restart, Versailles should run an Imperial IFF, and Cannes an OSC IFF. They will also have the fully updated infocards prepared for the next patch.
This is basically a cosmetic serverside override, internally the bases are entirely unaffected. Both will be updated thoroughly with the upcoming patch.
I'm getting 0 Extra credits for deliveries. In a Gallic luxury liner with UC ID. I get the message when i buy the passengers but it says 0 extra cradits.....

Same here, I've done quite a few with a UC/- OF ID and consistently got "0 extra credits," I thought it was a manual increase so I disregarded it but it seems that it is not. Would be nice to have it looked at!
Quote:Starting now, event plugin should be a bit more clear with what's happening.
It'll omit the credit boost messages if there is no credit boost to be had, but it will notify you that you scored delivery of X cargo upon completion.
The money you get is 25% increased as a base price, not through the event plugin.
I would have thought, seeing as a return trip on a Liner is netting approx 800,000 credits, that it would have been obvious that the prices had been increased.
Also, if you check the 'Trade Routes' in your Inventory, you will see that the 'named' stations are paying a lot more than the ones that are further afield.

I won't be participating in this event any longer. The role play coming out of it is far to distasteful for my taste. Setting up a role play liner, takes a very long time days even and running a Liner is currently at a major cost to the player as there are no profits to be had even the event bonus are lack lustier. Then to encounter pirates that want to human traffic your passengers is grotesque. No Captain worth their lick is going to hand over passengers and so Liners are going to end up destroyed each time there is a encounter if they have a moral compass. In conclusion liners have far to much to lose than to gain and Pirates are using this as a advantage.

ah yes, freelancer. The world of legalised slavery in liberty, inescapable drug addiction in the form of cardamine, far too many nazi references in Rheinland, literal slave trading as a commodity including ships built for it like the pilgrim liner, a good deal of body horror in the form of Nomads, rampant murder, etc... But god forbid someone roleplay the event that's happening and interact with you politely.
A thought for your whole moral compass argument, though. If you know the entire ship is going to blown up, isn't the moral thing to give in or try to argue for a lower demand?
[03.07.2024] LNS-Beast***: we can do this every day but you have to buy bigger stronger ships...and i'll help you
