Seal clubbing- When a highly skilled player deliberately competes with new/unskilled players. Usually in PVP.
Shield running- When a player runs away mid-fight to recharge their shields, and reengages when shields are recovered.
Dry- When a ship is out of regens.
Full dodge- When a player is being chased by multiple opponents, the player is forced stop shooting and constantly dodge to stay alive.
Gunsos- Fight with guns only. No missles, mines, or regens.
Full- Fight with everything you have. Guns, missles, mines, and regens.
To this day. I'm still not completely sure what these mean:
1IC- First in charge?
2IC- Second in charge?
HC- High command?

WV - War Vessel, name prefix for combat ships used by the Core
APM - AP Manufacturing (nobody knows what AP stands for)

1IC - First in Command (the leader of a faction)
2IC - Second in Command (of a faction)
HC - High Command (the council assembled by a leader to help them run a faction)
loldocking: docking during a hostile player encounter to escape death. Applies to traders too but is not as looked down upon or used with a deragatory tone when doing so on a trade ship.

Guard Systems - Systems entirely controlled by a single faction, usually characterized with easily guarded entrances and exits, a complete lack enemy NPCs or bases, and one or more incredibly strong/important bases for the faction that controls the system. A relic term from a time when factions could just buy systems.
Guard Factions - Copies of factions with hostile reputation to all other factions save very explicit allies, used to lock down Guard Systems. A relic term from the same era as Guard Systems, seeing increased use due to Alaska Security Forces and Detachment 16.
POB - Player Owned Base.
POBoid / BoP - Base Owned Player, derogatory, Slang for base owners who do not interact with other players, or provide minimal roleplay in order to exclusively focus on their Player Owned Base.
Perma/Permaban - Permanent Server Ban.
ERP - lit. "Erotic Roleplay", but often used as a short hand for long roleplay encounters, especially non-aggressive ones.
T# - Tau system shorthand.
{Greek Letter} - Omicron system shorthand.
