Good mining places... and are missions still profitable?

Right where is the best mining spot in game at the moment that is known? I'm in omega49 now, ain't 30mil an hour. Aint 10mil an hour in fact.
Wonder if I'm doing it right, mining ship, IMG IFF and ID, all mining lasers except 2 transport turrets but I don't use the transport turrets.

So I wonder whats wrong.

All of my characters can support themselves through missions, except the battleship :|

there is that irridium field that can get you can sell for 2000 a piece at a station in the same system

but trust me...you go into that field, you're not coming out in one piece :D

Silverleaf, i dont think there's any way to make 30+mil and hour, not within server rules anyway.

mining is much more profitable if you can have a transport with you to deliver the goods so i'd suggest getting a friend to come along mining.
