But ... yeah, actually it would be much more intresting to meet more diffrent characters. So in that point, yes. To better suit me.

Wow, pretty self centered there....

If you look on the police ID's it says we cannot engage in unlawful actions. The world aint perfect, neither is Disco.

Enjoy your stay.

Isn't taking a bribe an unlawful action, precluded by police ID's?

And thats not that hard. It depends on the crime. I understand that in some questions like slavery many people wouldnt sell off. But some pirated video games?...

And like about what kind of bribe we are talkin, lets say cop's wage is 60 000 credits a year, and here he gets offred with 4 000 000 you think you wouldnt take it just for letting pass a few pirated video games?

But.. Hack, yes I must agree with you on this one. Can't engage in unlawful action..

I find this to be completely funny and sad at the same time,

to be real with you sir and i know others may have felt the same and shared their opinions....

If ya can't get a bribe workin, poor you. If you can't run fast enough, poor you. If you don't get your illegal cargo sold, POOR YOU.

Why would LPI or any Lawful care about you? YOU are a enemy, you and YOUR actions hurt innocent people in the Lawful's eyes. I think scum pirates smugglers would try to bribe. I hope I don't ever have the desire to come back from the dead if I do certain agenda's will hit close to the chest.

Anyway spare me the wine Where it ran, I like my Bloodshot rum.

Half of the LPI's RP is taking bribes. Its the point of the I. Incorporated. That means were a company. We are friggen corrupt. You want us to get rid of our entire RP to suit you? in a word:

NO.

NO.

errr... I think you missed the intention of the original poster, which was to encourage such actions.
And I happen to agree with you and Mr. Ran.

To Athenian, as stated earlier: it is certainly possible to bribe police officers in most parts of the world. As a matter of fact, it's often expected.

And while it is certainly possible to find LPI officers who will actually act the way the bar rumors and canon says they do by taking bribes (I've found a certain gentleman with whom I work regularly), more often than not an LPI player is more eager to pwnzors a smuggler than to RP it out.

Remember, the LPI is not simply the BPA or the RFP or the KSP transplanted to Liberty; each faction has its own customs and mores. Corruption happens to be (at least according to canon) one of LPI's characteristics.

Exactly. The four House police factions are each different, the LPI being the most obvious, due to the 'Inc.'.
That said, depending on how you act, you might be able to bribe an officer, given the right circumstances.

The thing is, most of the times a policeman catches someone breaking a law, there are others around. As soon as that's the case, it's quite unlikely that you'll get away without any harm done.
After all, the officer in charge would openly show his corruption.
Also, what others said applies as well; if the officer feels that his superiors may get wind of what he did, he won't take any unnecessary risk.

And the BPA might be the hardest one to bribe. Infocard quote:

Hell, I'd accept a bribe if you offered me one. Of course, it would have to be greater than the fine. I myself went through a phase of demanding protection money from pirates in return for not calling the Navy. Only one person ever coughed up.

To each his own. Saying outright that we cannot accept bribes because one line on an ID that is very scratchy and on the border of irrelevant doesn't hold with me.

For the Core.

You should advertise the fact that you take bribes when you enforce the embargo on your SWAT characters.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Rheinland is a proud land. A policeman or a Soldier does not earn much money beeing an Officer.
You may hop in and shout "Then they must take bribes more easy than other houses!"

Thats wrong. They are defending and protecting Rheinland and its people, because its a respected career.

It also depends who you try to bribe.
I can just shake my head if someone trys to bribe an Admiral of the Rheinwehr, or another higher rank.
Soldiers obtaining high ranks in the Rheinwehr have special beliefs.
A bribe will fail 99,99% of the time.
The same goes for enlisted ranks right next to an Admiral. They wont take it, even if you succuessfully bribed him twice before.

And keep your actions in mind. If you try to run and give the officer a chase, then suddenly attempt to bribe him..........thats not wise.
Most pilots are lazy and if they need to chase someone, they want to bite.
