Oso, my short advice. And I don't care if someone cares - I'm gonna write it anyway:
A) Concentrate on your RP. Try to post as little OOCs as possible.
B) Ignore any flame, rant and "I'm goona tell the admins", pubescent and non-pubescent attempts, just do whatever you think is needed for your RP (of course with recpect of the rules - but in your case there's no need to mention it)
C) Try to enjoy playing, do not get disgusted by the flaming
D) Good luck :)

OK, first of all. Verg, I understand your point of view. But think about this.

1)HF is pirate/merc clan against Liberty. Go ahead and read in the rumors about Rheinland and Liberty skirmishes, they're on the brink of war! Wouldn't it make sense for Rheinland to supply pirates of Liberty? If ya don't think so, I dunno what to say.

2)The reason we're not mercs is because NO ONE HAS HIRED US! No one really wants to hire mercs anymore, when the sso basically do the same thing. They're a lot more abundant, and seemingly a lot more popular.

3)Verg... About the Scythe thing. I assume the unknown weapons are Wyrm 2s? Well... they are outcast weapons, who are friendly to the LWB. It was most likely me or Tank which you saw with the colodas. I don't really have an excuse for that.

I'm not gonna use the "I looted them!" excuse, that's cheap. ...Is there a shield buster that is RP for LWB? If there is, please someone tell me! I will get them ASAP! The highest level LWB weapon is lvl 6. If you want to get me loaded out in lvl 6s....

Just my 2 cents. Please don't flame, Verg and I are trying to have a civilized discussion.

You HF guys should really limit yourselves to pirate ships. i mean, the pirates have a great choice of ships, but its just wierd to be able to purchase ships which belong to opposite sides of the law.

The reason we are more popular is because the pirates are more abundant than the lawfuls, so we are needed to kill the abundancies. No lawfuls hire you because your aligned with the lane hackers and no unlawfuls hire you because their income is low enough as it is. i mean, 2 mil from each trader where about 1 in 10 pay you doesnt get much money does it? Also, pirates tend to work alone, whereas lawfuls rely on each other more.

Im less keen on restricting the usage of guns, especially to the HF, as guns are alot easier to get than ships. Im fine if you decide to use coladas, but ill gt pi$$ed off if everyone starts using them. Honestly though, i have no objections to you using guns, its just the ships....you got em all!!!

So back in the day when the SCRA was allied with the corsairs. I got some corsair gunboat turrets and now since we aren't, would that be considered un-rpish becuase I sill got em? Is using Battle razors (made by order) and infernos made by Outcasts) un-rp becuase I see other pilots with them all the time. (Grr prisoner liner can only mount a class 8 shield now :()

Alright, I am gonna adress two of your points. The third one doesn't really matter sinces its hard to syick with Rp weapons.

1/ The Rheinland bomber. If I was a rheinland admiral, giving out millitary grade weapons to Known pirates would be the LAST thing I would do! And Rheinland is not even at war with liberty! Mabey in the final of the mod but not now! When I have a liberty absed pirate and I attack traders and do missions to get pirate ID, Rheinland goes down. They WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS give uot bombers to lane hackers.

2/I agree. No one Hires Mercs. At least not unlawful ones. You guys really wanted to be them, you would have stuck with the lawful side of things. The SSO are already BHG so it works for them. My saugestion to you guys. Restrict ships, drop the merc bit.

I would like to start a petition to add to RP rules that weapons DO matter.

1. If you have Liberty Navy status, you can only use weapons from factions stated as friendly in the infocard for Liberty Navy. This goes for all factions (Lib Navy was just an example). I would also like the same for ships.

2. Weapons 'looted' (i use the term VERY loosely) are to be sold and not mounted for the sake of just winning.

To sign the petition, please write "SIGNED" at the start of your post.


All of the flaming on this forum is 90% RP based, and usually about the ships or the weapons. If we make this clear, there are no reasons for flaming. All that will be needed is a screenshot and an explaination from the person breaking RP rules.

I KNOW that this would mean everyone will migrate to the Corsairs for the best weapons available (*possible look to Igiss to make more sheild killers available for lawful and other factons in the next mod version*) but hopefully the factions that have already been created would hold true to it.

I've learnt alot about RP in the very few months that I've been on Disco. There are those on the server that RP to their full extent, and there are those that will go to huge lengths to find any link possible between factions to gain an advantage that, overall, detracts from RP. I learnt the hard way that this is not what this community is about. I like a good fight, but I don't care about winning anymore, just about RP.

This is just a suggestion. If others agree it may become more than that. You have a free license to flame me all you want for this. However, construtive critisism is more welcome.
