1.6 didn't really do anything for me, TBH- the only difference I noticed is the graphics and some of the maps. I don't play much CS in any flavour, I have to admit, but that may change when Global Offensive comes out.

If it is i wloud download it...Its a bit old,but i like games like Fallout 2 and X:Beyond the frontier...
Im actually playing X BtF while Disco's down...
If you want to join a stone age game that only really experienced players play... and if you want to wonder how they manage to headshot you so fast while you traipse around... do so:)I tried many years ago and stopped it again.
Well, my opinion about 1.6 is its dynamic and fast gameplay, which you really can't feel with the CoD or BF. Really, with 100 FPS you can do a lot of things...
Asides that, you'll need a good load of practicing for people to notice you. For starters, try some servers that have 5-6 players in game, to learn to fire, to move, to aim... And most of all, have first class reflexes.
I haven't played CS for ages, but are there still any surf maps out there and populated? I've had loads of fun on those when I grew bored with the normal maps...

CSS is still really popular. Can't speak for 1.6, haven't played in yonks.
Heck.. Good old CS 1.6. Used to play it some time ago, still have the game I think, although I usually played on aim or zombie mode maps for condition zero... Must try again 8||||||
CS is out-of-date.I used to play it more than 5 years ago and never liked it. Last week i downloaded it,but 2-3 days later i removed it from my computer.
I don't play it online anymore. But I find lulzy to get your friends at your place or at someone's else place with loptops, box of beer and just play the damn game for a night.
