Apology to the Zoner Players

Umm, I was away for the last weak or so, and I don't know what exactly happens. I'm quite ":shok:" from what I read here so far ...
I'd like to get it straight. There was a general bounty against Zoners and that only caused an outcry and whining nasty enough to make another player scrap his character and RP? If that is the case, let me join in the loud "BOOOO!"

I've participated in half a hundred PvP fights, lost every single one of them, and have never had an issue with it. I've been pirated plenty of times too -- no problems with it.

If you roleplay a Zoner you know that he/she is bound to get shot at just as much as most folks -- nobody takes their neutrality seriously.

That's not why a lot of Zoner players got pissed though. I could go into a very long reason why, but nobody here would really care one way or the other. But your apology is appreciated, sir.

P.S. My main problem was with the bounty posted by that one weird random guy who was like, "They're humanitarians: Kill". I never noticed Zeltak's bounty. Hmm, thanks though anyways at your attempts of making peace.

Yeah I was looking forward to some great RP opportunities with this Zoner bounty. I have to say I'm not happy at all with the OORP whining that came from this. This could have all been dealt with in RP...

So many great ideas I was having, all tossed to the garbage now.

Look at it this way:

Nomads and the Wilde attack Zoners when they can. You have independant Corsairs running about nuking Zoner bases and freely attaking Zoner players. For the most part, nobody really had a problem with it. Yet during the past week, all kinds of crap has happened. So take that into account before you assume that folks RP Zoners are a bunch of OOC crybabies.

I have to agree with the opinions spoken in this thread, it is bad play with the Zoners. Now not all Zoners did this, I know, but there has to be a hell of a lot of them doing this to cause this reaction. This seems like a huge hypocritical to me, all these metagaming cries and accusations about people ruining their Zoner RP just by shooting them in 49 and this just happens? It's going everywhere too.

It is a game. I could put a bounty on everyone in Liberty, say, but that would annoy a lot of people too. Why would I want to annoy people who are playing a game to have fun? Zeltak has noticed this and has apologised for any grievance caused. Kudos to him.

If we had come in pirate ships with pirate IDs to claim that bounty, there would be no crying, I assure you, although there HAS been whinging behind the scenes when a group of Corsair gunboats used to cause trouble in 49.
