It's OORP to carry human cargo in ships whose info-cards doesn't mention humans as possible cargo, imho. It is up to anyone to decide, but it just doesn't make sense.
(you know what happens to people flying in baggage compartment of the aeroplanes?)

the path to hell is paved with good intentions!

@Quorg...

I agree it's not the best logic. However, slavers have a liner, viable routes etc.

There's no viable route that I can see that involves Refugees and a ship designed for human transport. On those grounds, I make an exception. Albeit one I agree doesn't make the best of sense when viewed outside the context of a workable traderoute.

Edit: That said, having upgraded from a Mammoth to a Mastadon, I am no longer entirely comfortable carrying refugees for the reason you mentioned and I'm looking at reworking my routes.

I may well end up financing a separate ship and/or a refugee transportation initiative.

Further edit: I haven't yet carried refugees since my ship change and now likely won't, in that ship anyway. I WOULD like to do something RP wise regarding refugees though.

Would be nice if some Admin could resolve this problem, and tell is it right or not.

No. No it isn't. I am sick of everyone calling things out-of-roleplay when it's just something they personally don't like.

This. Definitely this.

Who's to say my Border Worlds Transport wasn't modified with passenger seating? Sure, it wouldn't be quite as comfortable as a luxury craft, but it's sure as hell safe. Besides, they're not vacationing on my ship, they're using my ship to get to where they're going without getting shot full of holes. It's not like I'm sticking them in boxes, strapping them to my train, and hoping for the best - you don't know what's inside a Border Worlds Transport, or a Mammoth, or a Percheron, or a Firefly, but whatever is in their holds, it's more than boxes on a stick.

Having thought about it some more, I'm wondering if this is a possible solution (assuming it's possible at all through FL hook)

Have human cargo take up extra space in non-liners and vice versa for normal cargo in liners. Justification here is requiring extra space for human comfort in the non-liners and having to fit cargo in small spaces (cabins etc) for liners.

Some price juggling would likely be required to keep liner owners making money.

If I see OSC ship hauling anything, he's fair game.;)

There's a fine line. I think all the indies should be able to haul anything legal, although it's not within the RP, but any factionalized ships should stick to RP goods and routes at least 95% of the time. I take oorp cargo over oorp behavior any time. Meaning I'm letting it slide pretty easily if the guy is not just another silent bob.

Flying under radar.

I am going to quote someone (I forgot who.)

Its about like that.

Do not say something is OORP until proven otherwise, say its RP until proven otherwise.

Still, if you try to RP with the guy and he says nothing or static, then its bad, if someone imagine something like quorgs said, even if it doesnt make that much sense, the person try to RP and I say its ok.

what about a pirate train, its like a train but wiht only one cargo pod. should it be able to carry humans? I know refugees would be most willing to get into anything they grab and slaves would have no more options than to comply, but what about VIPs? would it be In-RP to carry them

I'd say no - it's a rounded cargo pod. Rounded pods don't make for good seating arrangements. My rule is that if people are carried in any sort of pod, the ship is ruled out.
