BK Forums are back up

The admins offered to allow players to buy power plant upgrades from them. After strong negative feedback, they put it to a poll. The poll was still in progress when the forums crashed and burned.

The guy they had as Junior Admin got banned as well.

I was out of there as soon as I found out who the Junior admin was(he's already been banned from Discovery Official server for modding I think).

I got suspicious when he started talking about infinite power supplies and was obviously using mods, especially when the server was periodically crashing like Discovery Official server used to. ;)
He's probably the one who suggested the whole PS change thing in the first place.

Guess I can go back to Asteroid mining with my shiny Battlestar II now anyway(shame the story behind "Scutter's Stripclub and Gambling Parlour" disappeared into the void really.).:D

What 'upgrades poll' do you mean?

There was some discussion of making upgraded power supplies available. Doing it with ioncross char editor, but many of the options were... unrealistic. seems that they put alot of work into finding good replacements for fighter class ships, but it all went to hell with bombers and up. Probably due to a lack of variety in power supplies for those ships. The poll was failing, so I don't think it would have mattered anyway.

Also, the idea of cloaked spy ships was proposed. Which I still think has serious possibilities. And, before anyone has a chance to scream in horror, there were major catches to that, no weapons could be mounted to the ship, the cloaking device could not be removed, and you were limited to using it on the patriot.

And Virginix, that guy talking about cloaking his battleship was an obvious flamer. OBVIOUS. all of his posts were bull****.
